This coming Thursday, June 4th, is the Feast of Corpus Christi, a celebration in which we remember that the bread we eat at the Eucharistic Feast is indeed the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a time for us to hear again the words of Saint Paul, who reminds us that, "The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the Body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body...For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes."

Join us on Thursday Evening for the Feast of Corpus Christi. Evening Prayer of the Feast will be at 5:00 p.m., and the Mass for the Feast of Corpus Christi will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Jesus, whom now hidden, I by faith behold,
what my soul doth long for, that thy word foretold:
face to face thy splendour, I at last shall see,
in the glorious vision, blessed Lord, of thee.
--Saint Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274)

“And the Catholic Faith is this: that we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; Neither confounding the Persons: nor dividing the Substance.” From the Creed of Saint Athanasius.

Over the last several months, we have had some difficulties with our podcasting setup. Between technical glitches, problems with the recordings, issues getting the podcast to load, and software problems, we are glad to say that we are finally "back at 'em!"

Over the next several weeks, we will be uploading previous sermons that we have been unable to share, and on Sunday,s we will share the current sermon for our Lectionary passages. We imagine that by the end of June, we will be all caught up.

If you have previously enjoyed our podcasts, or are a "newbie" and find something that helps enrich your relationship with our Blessed Lord, do consider sharing these with some friends and those you know who need to learn about the love of Jesus. There are just over 300 sermons recorded and available on the podcast.

We hope that each of these sermons and homilies is a blessing to you and those with whom you share.

Do you need some time for a mid-week break to have a rest and a few quiet moments to pause and reflect on the day? Or, perhaps a space to say prayers in a hushed voice? If so, consider coming to Saint Christopher's on Wednesdays during the day.

We offer Morning Prayer, a service built around the Psalms of the Day, at 8:30 a.m. in the Nave of the Church. Later in the day, at 12:10 p.m., we pause for a few minutes (about 10 minutes or so) to offer thanks to God and to remember that our Lord was crucified at the noon hour. In the evening, at 5:00 p.m., we say Evening Prayer together, followed immediately by the Mass of the Day.

In a world torn by strife and war, with uncertainties around every corner, come and experience the peace of God, which truly does pass all understanding.
