Get to know the Plaza Level 🌿

Among the sacred artwork on the Plaza Level is this striking depiction of Calvary, showing Christ on the cross surrounded by those who remained with him.

Set among the trees and greenery, it is the first statue you'll see when you arrive at The Grotto.

Walk the Stations of the Cross. Step inside the Chapel of Mary. Light a candle. Explore more than a century of history in the Interpretive Center. Enjoy the Gift Shop. Find a peaceful place to sit beneath the trees.

The Plaza Level still offers plenty of opportunities to spend time outside, take a peaceful walk, and enjoy the towering evergreens that make The Grotto feel worlds away from the city around it.

Through the loving intercession of Our Sorrowful Mother, may this sanctuary be a sacred refuge of peace, hope, and healing for all who enter.

May every heart find comfort in sorrow, strength in times of trial, and the gentle embrace of Your unconditional love.

May all who come, regardless of their burdens or journeys, feel welcomed, cherished, and renewed in faith.
