To kick off their tour of Sweden and Norway in June, the Lantern Chorus and Orchestra will present a special concert at SPD on Sunday, June 14th at 3:00 pm. The Lantern Chorus is a collaboration of choral ensembles in the Twin Cities representing St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, Meetinghouse Church, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (Shoreview), Grace Episcopal Church (Minneapolis), and Kantorei. Come join us as we support the choir and enjoy some wonderful music! This concert will have a free-will offering.

Join us every second and fourth Wednesday in June and July for Dwelling in the Word! Instructed by Jen Galley, Dwelling in the Word is a welcoming, discussion‑based gathering where we engage Scripture in community. Together, we’ll read and reflect on a Psalm, allowing space for conversation and prayer.

You’re welcome to attend as many sessions as your schedule allows. No prior preparation or experience is required.

There is still time to register your kids for Camp Wapo! Located on Lake Wapogasset in Amery, WI, Camp Wapo is a Lutheran Bible Camp where campers experience high adventure, wide community, and deep faith moments that transform how they see the world and themselves. Kids who have completed Grades 1-3 are invited to join us at camp from June 12th to 14th for a weekend of music, Bible study, campfires, crafts, water fun, and plenty of games. It is a perfect introduction to summer camp for our youngest campers!

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner, and we are in need of volunteers to help make the week special and memorable for our kids! Whether it's leading a small group, forming meaningful connections with the kids, or heading one of our many stations, SPD would love to have you as a part of our fun, talented team. Senior Recognition Sunday is this weekend! Join us as we celebrate the Class of 2026 at our 9:30 am worship service!

Calling all families! It's time to register for Vacation Bible School, taking place June 8th - 11th! This year's theme is "Rainforest Falls", and we will explore the nature of God through song and story, games and experiments, snacks, and a movie. Each day will be fun-filled, with a deep dive into learning more about our amazing God! VBS is open to children who are 3 years old by 9/1/2025 through 4th grade (completed).

We are also in need of volunteers to help with group and station leading. Anyone in 7th Grade or above is welcome to help out!
