Here are some interesting thoughts from a book shared with me by Pastor Dan titled, “A God Named Josh.” This book is written by Jared Brock and has been a great read so far!

“Being a Christian requires living as Christ lived…What makes a Christian a Christian?…being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did (pg. 69).”

Also on pg. 69: “Why do the gospel recorders pay so little attention to Yehoshua the child? It is because his infancy, toddlerhood, and adolescence are not the story they are trying to tell.”

A thousand thanks to everyone who came out and helped around church on Saturday! Windows and screens got cleaned, weeds got pulled, edges got trimmed, leaves got raked and hauled away, branches got trimmed...it was a very productive morning! We appreciate you all!

This is super exciting! Central Wisconsin Lutheran High School will be moving into their new building beginning June 1st. They have two Work Days scheduled, June 13th and June 27th. See the link below if you are able to help them get their new home ready for next school year!

We are officially moving into our school building on June 1st! Help us get it ready for students by volunteering on one or both of our spruce-up-the-building days! Saturday, April 25, 6:30pm: Family Fellowship Movie Night, “War Room”

“From the creators of Fireproof and Courageous, this is a compelling faith drama filled with humor and heart. Meet Miss Clara and see how she uses her “war room” to develop a battle plan of prayer for her family and neighbors. Bring along your favorite snacks! This movie is rated PG for some “thematic elements throughout.”

“Tony and Elizabeth Jordan have it all—great jobs, a beautiful daughter, and their dream house. But appearances can be deceiving. Their world is actually crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. While Tony basks in his professional success and flirts with temptation, Elizabeth resigns herself to increasing bitterness. But their lives take an unexpected turn when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara, and is challenged to establish a “war room” and a battle plan of prayer for her family.”

This movie explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships, and every other area of life. We will be watching the movie in the sanctuary—feel free to bring pillows/beanbags or plan to sit in the pews. Popcorn will be provided. You may bring other snacks and drinks!
