As the disciples waited together for the promise of the Father, they remained united in prayer and sought God's direction for the next step. Acts 1:12–26 (KJV) gives us a powerful picture of unity, faith, and trusting God's guidance.

We'll explore:

🔹 In One Accord – The disciples gathered together in unity, prayer, and expectation as they waited on God.

🔹 What About Judas? – The tragic story of Judas reminds us of the seriousness of turning away from Christ and the consequences of our choices.

🔹 Choosing Matthias – The disciples sought God's will as they selected Matthias to take Judas' place, trusting the Lord to guide their decision.

God is still looking for people who will pray, stand together, and trust His direction. When we seek God's will, we can trust Him to lead the way.

📖 THE POWER OF GOD

📖 Scripture: Acts 1:1–11 (KJV)

🔥 Sunday Morning Worship 🔥

As we begin our study in the book of Acts, we are reminded that the same God who worked powerfully through the early church is still at work today. In Acts 1:1–11, Jesus prepares His disciples for what was ahead and gives them a promise of power from above.

We'll explore:

🔹 Infallible Proofs – Jesus gave His disciples many undeniable proofs of His resurrection, strengthening their faith and preparing them to be His witnesses.

🔹 The Promise of the Father – The disciples were told to wait for the promise of the Holy Ghost and would receive power to be witnesses for Christ.

🔹 The 2nd Coming of Jesus – As Jesus ascended into Heaven, the angels reminded the disciples that He would come again. Our risen Savior is coming back!

Acts 1 reminds us that we serve a risen, powerful, and returning Savior. The power of God is not something confined to the pages of Scripture—it is the power that equips believers to boldly live and witness for Christ today.

📖 THE END OF DAVID'S REIGN

📖 Scripture: 2 Samuel 23 & 24 (KJV)

As we come to the end of David's reign, 2 Samuel 23 & 24 (KJV) gives us a powerful look at David's legacy, his failures, and his faith. Through both victory and failure, we are reminded of God's holiness, mercy, and faithfulness.

We'll explore:

🔹 David's Mighty Men – We’ll look at the men who stood beside David and demonstrated incredible courage, loyalty, and dedication.

🔹 David Sinned... Again – Even a man after God's own heart was still a sinner. David's failure reminds us of the seriousness of sin and the importance of recognizing our need for God's mercy.

🔹 David's Sacrifice – David responds to God's correction with repentance and sacrifice, declaring that he would not offer to the Lord something that cost him nothing.

David's story reminds us that God's grace is greater than our failures, but our sin still carries consequences. As we close this chapter of David's life, may we be challenged to walk faithfully, repent quickly, and give God the worship He deserves.

📖 DAVID'S SONG OF PRAISE

As we continue through the life of David, we come to a powerful moment of reflection and praise in 2 Samuel 22 (KJV). After all the battles, trials, victories, and failures, David takes time to look back and praise the God who faithfully carried him through it all.

We'll explore:

🔹 Who Is God – David declares who God is: his Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, Shield, and Refuge.

🔹 What God Has Done – David remembers God's faithfulness, protection, deliverance, and mighty works throughout his life.

🔹 Publicly Praising God – David doesn't keep his praise to himself. He openly declares the goodness and greatness of God.

Our circumstances may change, but God never changes. Like David, we have countless reasons to look back, remember what God has done, and give Him the praise He deserves!

📖 THE COST OF REBELLION

Rebellion always comes with a cost. As we continue through the life of David, this week's message from 2 Samuel 20 & 21 (KJV) reminds us that sin and rebellion can have consequences that reach far beyond the moment.

We'll explore:

🔹 The Rebels – We'll examine those who rose up against God's appointed king and the consequences of choosing rebellion.

🔹 The Fallout from Rebellion – Rebellion doesn't just affect the one who rebels. Its consequences can impact families, relationships, and an entire community.

🔹 The Famine – We'll see how Israel faced a time of famine and how David sought the Lord to understand the reason behind it.

God's Word reminds us that rebellion against God is never without consequence, but it also points us toward the importance of repentance, obedience, and seeking the Lord.

Join us this morning as we worship together and allow God's Word to challenge, encourage, and strengthen our walk with Him.

🔹 Godly Character – True leadership is demonstrated through humility, grace, forgiveness, and a heart that seeks the Lord.
