Day 4: The Power of the Cross ✝️🔥
To the world… the cross looks foolish.
A Savior dying?
A King hanging on a cross?
Victory through suffering?
That makes no sense to human wisdom.
People want power.
Strength.
Status.
Success.
But God chose a cross.
And that’s exactly why the Gospel is so powerful. ❤️
God has always worked through what the world overlooks.
He chose:
shepherds instead of kings
fishermen instead of scholars
weak people instead of impressive people
Why?
So nobody could brag about themselves.
So the glory would belong to Him alone. 🙌
At the cross, Jesus — the sinless Son of God — took our place.
He carried:
our shame
our guilt
our punishment
our hell
When Jesus cried:
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
He was experiencing the separation that our sin deserved.
The innocent One was treated like the guilty…
so the guilty could be treated like sons and daughters.
That’s the power of the cross.
And when we truly focus on that…
our petty arguments suddenly seem very small.
Because the cross reminds us:
none of us earned salvation
none of us deserved grace
and all of us desperately needed Jesus
The cross levels the ground.
At the foot of the cross:
pride dies
boasting disappears
division fades
and grace takes over ✨
The world may call the Gospel foolish…
But that “foolish” message is still changing lives today.
Not because of clever presentations.
Not because of personalities.
Not because of programs.
But because the cross still has power. 🔥
Verse:
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” — 1 Corinthians 1:18
Reflection:
How does remembering Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross reshape the way you view disagreements and divisions among believers?
Quote:
“When we focus on the cross, our differences begin to fade.”
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for taking my place on the cross. Keep my heart centered on Your sacrifice and help me walk in humility, unity, and grace toward others. Amen. 🙏✨
