Plainfield Christian Church

Plainfield Christian Church Our mission is to help you become fully alive with Jesus, in community, and on mission. Sundays @ 7:45am, 9:15am, 10:45am & 5:00pm

Plainfield Christian Church exists as a congregation with Jesus Christ as its head and the Word of God as its only authority. We believe in God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that, as those who are faithful to Christ, our first two commands are to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We are called to go out into the world and share the good news of Jesus with others who don't yet know Him and His saving grace.

Nearly 1,400 names were written on the Fully Alive Wall yesterday as we made a commitment to pray for, love, and intentionally invest in our “ones”—the people in our lives who don’t yet know Jesus. Just as someone once invested in us so that we could know the love of Jesus, we want to do the same for others.

This week, the Fully Alive wall will be hung on the wall as a visible reminder of the people we’re praying for. As more names are added over the coming years, our prayer is that one day, every name on it would experience the love, grace, and hope of Jesus.

Because He died, your old self dies.
Because He lives, you get a brand-new life.

Baptism is an exciting step in the journey of following Jesus, and it can be a confusing one, too. Why is baptism important? What happens when you get baptized?

Questions about baptism are so common, and we hold regular Baptism Classes to give you an opportunity to ask these questions alongside other people who also have questions. The next Class is coming up soon--let us know you’ll be there!

"Who’s the one person you want to see become fully alive?"

We’ve been asking this question for the past few months, and this Sunday we’ll get the chance to write the name of our Ones on our wall, a sign of our intention to invest in the people in our lives who do not yet know the love of Jesus.

You’ll see some names already on the wall and that’s because our staff went first, writing the names of their Ones and praying that God would use them to share his love with family members, neighbors, acquaintances, and friends.

We’re so excited to see this wall fill with names and to watch God use ordinary people like us to help others discover what it means to be fully alive in Jesus!

As we broke ground on the new Student Center, one thing was clear: this isn’t just a construction site. It’s a launchpad.

This project is not about concrete and steel and drywall. This is about creating a place where middle schoolers encounter Jesus, where high schoolers answer God’s call on their lives, where adult volunteers invest in the next generation, and where lives are changed forever by the gospel.

So when you see the cranes, cones, and steel in the months ahead, remember: we’re not just constructing a building. God is at work, inspiring a generation to become fully alive in Jesus for such a time as this.
