What does it mean that God’s love never quits? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 29, 2026, we open Psalm 89:1-3 and hear a song that begins where the last psalm ended in darkness: “I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD forever.” Psalm 89:1 (ESV)

This short Bible devotion explains steadfast love in plain words: a love that keeps its promise even when we are weak, tired, or unfaithful. We face our own failures and sin, then turn to the good news. God swore a covenant to King David, and He kept every word in Jesus, David’s own descendant. At the cross, Jesus sealed a new covenant with His blood, redeeming you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In the Lord’s Supper, He gives you that same blood with the w**e, together with His body in the bread, for the forgiveness of your sins.

Sing today, not because everything is easy, but because God keeps His word. His love was built up in Christ, and it stands forever.

What do you do when the night feels endless? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 28, 2026, we reach the final verses of Psalm 88, a prayer that ends in darkness with no sunrise in sight.

A spring never runs dry, and these singers and dancers declare that every source of life they have is found in God, not in work, money, or anything else that can fail.

Everything needed for life with God flows from Him alone. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, a spring that does not run out. In this Daily Devotion for October 21, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 87:4-6, a shocking song in which God lists Israel’s old enemies, Egypt, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and declares of them, this one was born in Zion. A birth is something done to you, not by you. God builds the city and writes the names in His own book.

This devotion shows the good news in an early form: enemies of God brought home as His own children. Jesus died for those enemies, giving His life so strangers could be born into His family. In Baptism, God gave you that new birth and wrote your name in His book, once and finished. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, never earned by effort. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord’s Supper He feeds His family, giving His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins.

Welcome the stranger gladly. You may be sitting next to someone God once seemed far from. And never doubt your own place. The Lord Himself wrote it down.

In this Daily Devotion for October 20, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 87:1-3, where the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob, not because the hill was big or strong, but because He chose it, put His name there, and promised, here I will be found.

This devotion shows where God meets His people now, in Jesus, the true temple, where God and sinners meet face to face and no one is turned away who comes in repentance and faith. He is found right where He promised: in His Word, in Baptism, and in the Lord’s Supper, where He gives His true body and blood with the bread and w**e for the forgiveness of sins. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, freely given. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, plain places and small things that God loves.

Do not look down on the ordinary gathering of God’s people. It may not look glorious, but the Lord loves those gates. Come in gladly this week, receive what He freely gives, and leave richer than you came.
