Pastor Emeritus: Late Reverened James C. Baker Bolden.

The Pleasant Valley Baptist Church was started in 1893 and has celebrated over 125 years in service. Many Pastors served well, including Reverened L. Dean who served for 46 years. Afterward, Pastor Emeritus, James C. Baker took the reigns and also served as Pastor for 46 years. He officially retired from Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in November 2015 and was presented with the title of Pastor Eme

ritus. The present Pastor is Dr. Beverly M. The present Deacons are Chairman-Kerry Bolden, Royce Bolden and Tony Cross. The mother of the church is Sister Bertha Woodson. Church services are every 1st and 3rd Sundays beginning at 10:30 am and Sunday School every Sunday beginning at 10:00am.

I stopped by this morning to tell y'all, God's presence is powerful, and it can overcome any fear that we may face. We can know that He is with us, even in the darkest of times. (Psalms 23:4 Yea,though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for though are with me thy rod and thy staff comfort me. As we journey through life we will encounter many valleys, but we have a choice. We can either live in fear or choose to trust in God's presence. When we choose the latter, we will find comfort, peace, and the strength to overcome. Happy Blessed Monday! Enjoy

People sometimes ask if God Exists why is the world so broken. Truth is if you never seek God he can't be found. ( Matthew 11:28-29 come to me all you are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for i am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.) The invitation is there, you just have to except it. The problem doesn't exist because God is not there, the Bible clearly explains that the world is broken because sin entered God's creation. Human beings willing chose and still choose to this day to rebel against God. And our sin creates the corruption, suffering and death you are witnessing. Now this doesn't mean everyone suffering is beings punished for their individual sin and becoming a Christian doesn't mean all your problems will disappear, but remember this when you feel like you have no one in this world to lean on, you can lean on God. He has been and always will be there for you. Seek and ye shall find. Happy Blessed Thursday! Enjoy

I once was lost but now I'm found! For those of us who have accepted Christ as our Savior, we were once lost but have been found. Our Father's joy is not based on our past mistakes but on the fact that we was lost and is now found. Go tell somebody how good God is! Seek the Lord while He may be found. The moment when someone turns their lives over to Christ is a moment of celebration in Heaven. Don't wait until tomorrow, for tomorrow may never come. Habakkuk 3:17-18 even when crops fail, fields are empty, and farm animals die, the prophet will still find joy and gladness in God. Verse 18: yet I will rejoice in the Lord, i will be joyful in God my Savior. Somebody gone catch this! True joy does not depend on good things happening. Thank you Lord that you are able to do far more than we could ever imagine. Thank You for Your Mighty Power that acts on behalf of your children. We reach out to you, and know that you are restoring and redeeming every place of difficulty, every battle, for your glory. Lord We ask for your healing and grace to cover every broken place, every wound, every heartache. Thank you that you will never waist our pain and suffering. We love you Lord and we need you today. As I start this day help me remember that I belong to you and my desire is to act accordingly. Keep my feet from stumbling and my mind from wondering into distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the most important things you have designed for me. Help us to be obedient to your commands and to walk in your ways. Give us the courage to stand strong in our faith, even in the face of trials and temptations. Lord our whole hope is in you. I don't know who needs to hear this, But sometimes God allows many nations to be ruled by ungodly leaders, their time will come to an end, and it will be found that even they, though unknowingly, furthered God's purposes. Our God is the King of all nations, sitting up kings and removing them from power as He pleases. God is the King of kings and Lord of lords! Wait on the Lord and be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, Wait I say on the Lord. Rejoice! The battle has already been fought, the victory has already been won.
