UPDATE

Margo was released from the hospital with no major diagnoses. Ronald and Margo both extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their assistance and prayers. Each of you are greatly appreciated.

Continue prayers for Margo Hanstine. She was transported to the hospital this morning after church services. There is no diagnosis at this time but prayers are welcomed and appreciated.

"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven... water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth..."

"...And other seeds fell into good soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing... He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

We all have ears for hearing. It would be hard for us as citizens of a developed nation to say that we have never heard God's word preached or read it for ourselves. But perhaps Jesus is encouraging us here, not in asking if you will listen, but how you will hear His word, and whether you will take it to heart. Is He challenging us to provide a "good soil" heart to receive and act on His word where we can bear fruit for His kingdom?

06 - Daybreak Pregnancy Care Center Bottles for Babies Project. We will provide a baby bottle bank for every family that wishes to participate. You will be challenged to fill those bottles with loose change. At the end of the quarter, we will then give the money to Daybreak.
06 - Nomination Committee Meeting at 6 p.m.
07 - The Church Office will be closed in honor of Labor Day.
08 - SPR Committee Meeting at 6 p.m.
09 - Sunshine Gang Practice at 10 a.m. Choir Practice at 7:30 p.m.
14 - Morning Glories at 11 a.m. Janice Turner hosting.
14 - Joy Circle at 6:30 p.m. Kay Chadwick hosting.
15 - The Lord’s Pantry 9-11 a.m. Cathy Jones Team.
20 - Family Fun Day Luncheon following worship service (Western Theme) - bring your favorite covered dish.
20 - Dooly Camp Meeting Worship Service at 5 p.m.
24 - Joy Circle Salad Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Wesly Hall

Meet our new Bishop! The South Georgia Conference is part of Episcopal Area #7.

Today, in South Africa, Rev. Paul Lawler was elected to serve our episcopal area as our new bishop. Please join us in praying for him and his family.

Please keep in your prayers Wayne and Sharon Wilkin and their son Brad. Brad will be having a heart procedure in Florida on Friday. Wayne and Sharon are on the way to Florida now to be with him.
