Our men’s program is 13+ months long. What you might not realize is what goes on through the different phases of our program and how our different men’s centers work together in discipling our students.

The first phase of our program usually happens in one of our two Induction Centers. We have one in Tucson and the one that I lead in Phoenix. This part of the program is very structured and we minister to our students as they struggle to pick up the broken pieces of their lives. If they allow it, this is where Jesus steps in and makes them a new creation. Our students are typically at one of our Induction Centers for a little over 4 months.

The training phase happens at the Christian Life Ranch in New River. This portion of the program is where our students get to live out the new skills they have learned in the Induction phase while they add a whole new set of real world skills. They are given much more liberty and responsibility. This phase is usually around seven months long.

The final phase of the program is two months long and called Re-entry. The students return to one of the Induction Centers and prepare for life after Teen Challenge while they provide additional leadership for the new students.

Transformational Testimony

When I entered Teen Challenge a year ago I was broken both emotionally and spiritually. On the verge of losing my sanity as well as my family. God, through His grace and in His timing, has slowly but surely restored all of this back to me. My marriage is stronger than ever and both my wife and children are excited about my integration back into their lives soon. I’m a changed man, a new creation, and though I’m nowhere near a completed version of myself I am remaining faithful in my journey to become the man God created me to be.

I recently returned back to the Phoenix induction center to do the re-entry part of my program. The final 2 months and I can honestly say that it’s been both challenging and a blessing. I would ask that you keep me in prayer as I’m coming up on the end of my 13 month program and have some big decisions to make. God has lead me to want to stick around Teen Challenge a little while longer as a staff intern for the next 6 months. My hope is that I’m able to help other students find the joy and freedom that I’ve found in God and His word.

Favorite Scripture: I grew up with no father, my mother was only 17 when she had me. My grandfather was my father figure until I was 14 years old. My addictions began at the age of 19. I used many different drugs socially, then it turned into isolated use to relax me. I was in active psychosis when....
