It is because he has overcome so much and been brought out of the hands of death that his mission is stronger. So often we think that just be cause we have accepted Christ as our savior that we are covered. You couldn’t be further from the truth. In John 10:27, Jesus said “My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me.” So now that you have accepted him, do you truly know him? Have you established a personal relationship with Jesus? Have you surrendered your will unto him? One way to do that is service through good works works. In Revelations 2:19, the Lord says “I know your works, love, service, faith and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first".
