Another blessed day at Karns Grove. Broc joined the family of Jesus as a brother in Christ. We celebrated his baptism in this morning's service. It was also our 5th Sunday Singing which we look forward to several times a year. This time was super special. God has blessed our church with talented people who lead us in praising our Lord and Savior. There were tears in the eyes of many this morning with Jesus presence being felt among us.

Karns Grove will be moving our summer Vacation Bible School into a neighborhood in Owensboro this year. We are hoping to reach young people who may not otherwise have a chance to attend VBS. Plans are being made, a date and location are being reserved. Please pray that God will use this to reach into young lives and begin their journey of faith.

Karns Grove will be participating in the Eastern Kentucky Mission trip again this year. Members interested in participating are encouraged to let Amber know. The date is October 11-16. We will need a headcount to assure accommodations are available. Cost is $20 per night.

Happy Mother's Day. Our church is celebrating the event with a service honoring Mothers and also a Baby Dedication service. A Mother's love is a blessing from God and a treasure in our lives. Give Mom a hug, tell her how much you love her, and spend time with her on this special day. Return to her some of the love she lavished on you. We'll save a seat for you.

The Riverpark Center is hosting a special evening of worship and testimony as part of the National Day of Prayer events in Owensboro, KY. On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the center will play host to a Night of Prayer/Worship & Testimony from 6-8 pm, featuring Hall of Fame Army Ranger, Retired Major Jeff Struecker, who will share a riveting testimony to the power of prayer during the Black Hawk Down battle! The event is organized by Owensboro National Day of Prayer and will also include a pre-event performance by Owensboro's own Blue Bridge Boys from 5:30-6 pm.
Karns Grove will participate in this evening service instead of our regular Wednesday evening service at the church.

Our Wednesday night Bible study continues for a few more weeks with the "Gospel according to Jonah". It's an eye-opening study and very enlightening to all who are attending. Interested? We'll save a seat for you. The study is from 6:30 to 7:30 on Wednesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall.

Our Karns Grove Candlelight Christmas service was a Spirit filled and well attended event. Our gathering always focuses on Jesus, and all the hustle and bustle of the season loses its importance as we praise and worship our Lord and Savior, whose birth we celebrate. Jesus was fully man, and fully God. He walked the earth and lived through everything we face in our lives. He understands our weaknesses, our trials, our temptations, yet He stands ready to forgive all our sins and welcome us to an eternity with Him. Jesus saves. "For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:17) Jesus is the best gift ever given. Once you accept Jesus into your life, you become a child of God and His Holy Spirit dwells within you. Nothing can take you from the hand of God. "A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance." (John 10:10) Jesus came to earth, and His presence on earth changed time from BC to AD, BC meaning "Before Christ" and AD meaning "Anno Domini" (in the year of the Lord). The world recognizes Jesus as Lord and His birth in the way we measure time. Christmas is about Jesus. Why else would it be called Christmas?
