Happy Earth Day! The finishing touches have been added to the Courtyard garden beds and planters. On a less soggy day, we will sow vegetable seeds and plants in our Grace and Greens garden in the parking lot pocket gardening space.

This may be the first year our young fig tree gifted to us in 2023 from Tree Philly may bear fruit. The elderberries they gave us the same year have grown in leaps and bounds! The brambles are off to a strong start, and were not impacted by the overnight lows as they haven't flowered yet. This summer may be the most productive one yet for the raspberries and blackberries.

In what ways do you like to care for Creation?

As if on cue, the sanctuary lights added a bit of dramatic flair as we reached the conclusion of the Emmaus Road reflection during yesterday's worship service:

"(...) Their hearts burn. Their eyes are opened. Their world expands again. And they find that there is room to return, room to hope, room to begin again. They asked Him to stay. He was already there. There in their mourning, their fear, their questioning, their grief, their walking, their wrapping their heads around this thing called life, He was there in the breaking of the bread and He is still here with us.

[[insert dramatic light flickering here...or perhaps a knowing wink from Jesus??]]
