Our parish pilgrimage in 2027 - last few weeks you have been able to grab your flyers from the back of church and over at the rectory. Following in footsteps of Saint Paul - hitting all the great spots and islands of Greece by land and by cruise ship. There are only 4 cabins left at this point so act fast before this sells out like our France & Germany pilgrimage has already maxed out. Join Father Jim and Queen of Peace on another fun trip of a lifetime. On this solemn day, our parish community of Queen of Peace gathered to remember and pray for all the victims and lives affected by the tragedies of September 11, 2001.

In a deeply personal way, we lifted up in prayer our very own parishioner, Bob McIlvaine—a beloved son, grandson, brother, fiancé, and friend. Only twenty-six years old when his life was taken at the World Trade Center, Bob remains forever in our hearts. Just days after that devastating loss, our community gathered right here in this church to celebrate his funeral Mass.

This morning we were blessed to have a full church at 8am- we began with ringing the bell 25 times to signify 25 years, then opened with singing together America The Beautiful, the altar had flowers and a poster with the words “never forget” adorned with 25 candles, we celebrated the Mass for peace and justice, following the homily flowers were laid at the Shrine of Peace with a moment of silence followed by our prayer of Saint Michael The Archangel. Mass concluded with the singing of God Bless America. Today was a solemn and powerful display of prayer, hope and light.
