🔥 BEFORE CONVOCATION, WE PRAY! 🔥

The 106th Annual Holy Convocation is approaching, and before we gather for worship, preaching, fellowship, and impartation, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction is coming together to seek the face of God!

Join us for our Pre-Convocation Jurisdictional Prayer Gathering on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM. We are believing God for fresh direction, renewed strength, divine unity, and a mighty outpouring of His Spirit throughout this Convocation.

Our theme declares, “Answering the Call… Where God Is, Not Was” — Acts 16:9. If we are going to discern where God is leading us next, prayer must be our starting place. Before there is a move in the sanctuary, there must be a move in prayer!

This is an exciting opportunity to explore a future career in healthcare, experience an overnight HBCU tour, and learn more about nursing programs. A partial scholarship is also available to help offset the cost of the trip!

JURISDICTIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Saints,

It is with profound sadness of heart and humility of spirit that our Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Guy L. Glimp, solemnly announces the glorious heavenly promotion of Mother Lillie R. Ford, who transitioned from this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Mother Ford was the esteemed Church Mother of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the loving and devoted wife of our First Administrative Assistant, George W. Ford.

Mother Ford faithfully served as First Lady of the East Philadelphia District, leaving an enduring legacy of leadership, service, and unwavering dedication to the Kingdom of God. Her ministry touched countless lives, strengthened the Church, and helped shape the spiritual foundation of many throughout our Jurisdiction and beyond.

On behalf of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ford family and the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ family. We also request special prayer and encouragement for Rev. Dr. John H. Reese III and Evangelist Theresa Reese during this challenging season.

The Ford family stands in need of our fervent prayers as they navigate this season of transition and bereavement. We respectfully ask that the privacy of the family be honored during this time.
