Beginning Monday, May 11th, we invite the entire Willow Grove UMC family and community to join together in a simple but powerful daily practice: pausing to pray at noon each day.

At 12:00 PM, wherever you are — at home, at work, at school, in the car, or out in the community — take a moment to stop, breathe, and lift up a prayer for Willow Grove United Methodist Church, our neighbors, our ministries, and the needs of the world around us.

This is not about praying long or perfect prayers. It is about creating a shared rhythm of faith and connection. Even though we may be scattered in different places, we can still be united in spirit as one church family turning our hearts toward God together each day.

Pray for:
• our church and its ministries
• those who are hurting or struggling
• our schools, first responders, and community leaders
• our neighbors and surrounding community
• guidance, hope, healing, and peace

Imagine the impact of a community praying together every single day.

We hope you will accept this invitation and make noon prayer part of your daily routine beginning Monday, May 11th. Whether your prayer lasts 10 seconds or 10 minutes, your participation matters.

Today we give thanks for the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, and all who nurture and care for others in ways both big and small. Your love, strength, and faithfulness are a blessing to our church and our community.

During National Nursing Week, we at Willow Grove United Methodist Church extend our heartfelt gratitude to all nurses in our church, our community, and beyond. Your compassion, skill, and unwavering dedication bring comfort in moments of fear, healing in times of pain, and hope when it’s needed most. Thank you for the countless ways you care for others—body, mind, and spirit. We are deeply grateful for you today and every day.

Today is National Day of Prayer. I invite you to pause when you see this message as you're scrolling through your social media to stop and pray today. Pray for the Church and its leaders. Pray for our Nation and its leaders. Pray for our world and its various leaders. Pray for peace in the world. Pray for your neighbor. Pray for your enemy. Pray for the person who disagrees with you politically. Pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Join us Sunday, May 10th at 10:30 am for worship in person only this week. We are having major electrical work performed this weekend so we will be off line for the service. The service will be taking place in the chapel instead of the sanctuary.
Karen Werthmann, our Christ Servant Minister will be giving the message on this morning. She will be speaking from Isaiah 66:6-13.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible teachers among us—those who are part of our church family, those who teach here at WGUMC, and those serving at Honeyland Child Care Center, Circle of Friends, Upper Moreland schools, and in our surrounding communities.

Thank you for all you do to shape minds and hearts. You go beyond teaching subjects modeling compassion, kindness, and care, helping those in your classrooms grow into thoughtful, loving people.

We are deeply grateful for your dedication and the difference you make every single day. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
