The Archeparchial and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Philadelphia is the seat of the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the United States. It is home to the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia (eparchy is like a diocese within the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church). On the Cathedral grounds there is a Cathedral Rectory that is locat
ed next to the Cathedral. Cathedral Rectory includes Cathedral chapel, Cathedral offices, and catechetical classes. The Treasury of Faith Museum is located under the Cathedral, next to the Crypt. In the Crypt there are previous Bishop and Archbishops put to final rest: first Ukrainian Catholic Bishop in the United States Bishop Soter Stephen Ortyntsky, Archbishop Constantine Bohachevsky, Archbishop Ambrose Senyshyn, and Archbishop Stephen Sulyk. In addition to the Cathedral, there is a Cathedral Banquet Hall and Cafeteria-Hall (where Sunday Kitchen and Pierogies sales are key fund raising activities). The Missionary Sisters of Mother of God (MSMG) convent is located at the corner of Franklin and Brown Sts. Other Ukrainian institutions in the area are the headquarters of Providence Association and the Ukrainian Club on Franklin St (both of which have pages).
