Old Firsters: Remember, this is the 5th Saturday, so Old First is organizing / cooking / serving -- that means, we could use your help. (We have a few already signed up, but not quite enough...)

If you need more info, please contact Michael, Deanna or Beth.

Or just show up earlyish on Saturday, at the westside doors to the Social Hall (sometime from 7 am to 8 am to help us get ready for 9 am breakfast / clothing service).

It would be really helpful if you write in a comment below that you will be with us (so we don't worry about not having enough or twisting arms! LOL...)

I’ve been thinking that part of our 300th Anniversary celebration ought to be a focus on how progressive religious communities contribute importantly / positively (and punching above their weight!) to the complex socio-political richness / heath and wholeness of our culture?

And this article made me think: perhaps participating in some sort of Truth and Reconciliation Commission for a post-Trump America might be a good retirement project!

Old Firsters, friends, neighbors: Beth W. is on the schedule for cooking breakfast tomorrow morning. It's all planned; food's bought; but she's ending up a bit light on volunteers to help cook. Can anyone come early (between 7 and 7:30 am!) to help in the kitchen. Breakfast for 60 needs to be served by 9 am...

Thimble full of flavor,
thumb print of grace,
humble berry offered
among sun and bumblebees,
your thorns draw blood,
love's price, amid this blessed
giving and receiving.
Flesh of presence,
flavor flowing in self-giving,
the All of the Divine in our mouths,
the bread and w**e of this afternoon,
