Dear Friends,
“And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Winter is almost over, and we are starting to see some trees blossoming with spring colors! This winter has been very mild compared to other years; there was almost no snow in our valley. All our family prefers hot over cold weather, so we are eagerly waiting for spring.
As the weather gets better, it gives us opportunities for creative ways to reach people with the Gospel in la Falda. Please pray as we will be having a massive tract-giving activity on “Spring Day”. This is the day in September when spring officially starts, and thousands of young people come to our valley to celebrate in parks and riversides. Please pray that we may have opportunities to have spiritual conversations with many.
Another evangelistic activity we are planning for this spring is a “medical tent” on the main street, where people can have their blood pressure checked, which gives us the opportunity to have conversations about God and His peace offered through Jesus Christ. Several nurses will be helping us with this.
These activities will involve our growing group, so please pray that it will continue to unite us and develop a deep sense of belonging to this new church plant.
Last August 9th marked a year since we started having formal Sunday services in La Falda. We had the privilege of having Pastor Sam Masters as the speaker from the Crecer Church in Cordoba City. We praise the Lord for this first year, and we pray that He would continue to send us those who will be saved and those who are searching for a church that opens the Bible and teaches God’s Word!
Every week, Fio and I have many discipleship/counseling sessions with believers. It’s so amazing to see the Lord working in people’s lives. Many are very hard and sad cases. Please continue to pray for us as we share God’s Word with them.
Last month Fio was officially certified by ACBC! I (Pablo) will be certified in two weeks, Lord willing. As we look back, we realize that the hard trials of last year have prepared our hearts and minds to better understand His ways and to empathize better with people who are grieving and going through very hard times. So, we praise the Lord for His work in our lives. He always knows what is best for us!
Our family is doing well. We didn’t get sick this winter, and there were no respiratory issues in our young ones! This was a big difference from last year when we took Samara six times to the emergency because of asthma/respiratory crisis. Thank you for your prayers.
Julieta turned 14. Time goes by so fast. On her birthday, she had a nice time with her friends. We praise the Lord for the way He works in her life. We couldn’t be prouder of her! Daniel is 11 and slowly turning into a teenager. He is so good with little kids at church; they all love him and always want him to organize games! He surprises us with the way he understands math (much better than his parents!). Please pray for him as the Lord forms strong Christian convictions/resolutions in his life! Samara turned five and is also very bright; she learned to read very fast. Please pray that she would continue to understand the Gospel. She is asking us many questions about sin and Jesus.
All three of them had a very important piano concert at the Suzuki academy they’ve been attending for the last six years. It was Sami’s first time, and she did very well! Thank you for praying for our kids; as you can imagine, missionary kids are also on the frontlines of battles in ministry. They see many victories in ministry firsthand, but also many trials and attacks.
