STARS began as a dream when Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) was founded in 1982. 22 years later, that dream was realized with the launch of STARS. . As of 2022, STARS serves over 20,000 participants on several campuses across the Phoenix Valley. STARS is, and will always be, open to everyone in the community.

We are aware of an issue on our website where the registration button reads as "closed" on individual location pages. Please use the "register" button on the center of the page at ccvstars.com/football BEFORE clicking into individual campus pages, and register through PlayMetrics that way.

We are working to get the individual page links working and apologize for the confusion.

Here’s what Stars families need to know before registration day 👇

🚨 AGE GROUPS ARE NOW BASED ON BIRTH YEAR
Not grade level.

Divisions will now look like:
6U • 8U • 10U • etc.

📲 SET UP PLAYMETRICS BEFORE REGISTRATION
You’ll use PlayMetrics for:

✔️ Registration
✔️ Team communication
✔️ Schedules
✔️ Weather alerts

Create/activate your account ahead of time to make registration smoother.

✅ BEFORE REGISTRATION OPENS
Make sure you:

• Know your athlete’s birth year division
• Have your PlayMetrics login ready
• Download the PlayMetrics app
• Double check passwords/emails tonight

🏈 TWO FLAG FOOTBALL OPTIONS THIS YEAR

Recreational League
Fun, flexible, all skill levels

Advanced League
More competitive with tryouts, extra training, and a longer season

🔥 ADVANCED LEAGUE INFO

Players must attend evaluations/tryouts to be considered.

📍Tryout Dates:
June 18 + June 23

If a player does not make an Advanced team, they’ll automatically be placed in Rec.

⏰ KNOW THE COMMITMENT DIFFERENCE

Rec League:
1 practice/week + 1 game/week
Season runs Aug → Oct

Advanced League:
2 practices/week + training + games/tournaments
Season runs Aug → mid-March
