What would happen if we slowed down long enough to really notice the people God has placed around us?

This morning at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church, Rev. Vickie Grotts will be sharing a message from Romans 13:8-14 titled “Awake to Love.”

Paul tells us, “Now is the moment for you to wake from sleep.” Not because God has stopped working, but because sometimes we’re simply not paying attention.

We’ll talk about what it means to wake up to the people around us, to let go of the things that no longer belong in our lives, and to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Maybe someone needs encouragement.
Maybe a relationship needs healing.
Maybe we need to forgive... or ask for forgiveness.
Maybe God is simply asking us to notice someone we’ve been overlooking.

You don’t have to change the whole world this week. Sometimes it begins with being awake enough to notice where God is inviting you to love.

We talk about love all the time- but Romans 12 challenges us to do more than talk about it. Paul calls us to “let love be genuine”: to love sincerely, honor one another, rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep, forgive when we’ve been hurt, and choose good even when someone has treated us badly.

This morning, Rev. Vickie Grotts will bring the message, “A Different Kind of Love,” from Romans 12:9-21.

It’s a message about the kind of love Jesus calls us to live, not a perfect love, but a genuine one. A love that listens. A love that stays. A love that forgives. A love that refuses to let anger, bitterness, or hurt have the final word.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

“A Living Sacrifice”
Romans 12:1-8

I’d love to invite you to join us this morning at 11:00 a.m. at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church.

We will be looking at Romans 12:1–8 and what Paul means when he calls us to be a “living sacrifice.” It’s a passage that makes me stop and think about what it really means to give our lives to God- not just for an hour on Sunday, but in the ordinary moments of every day.

God has given each of us different gifts, different opportunities, and different people to love. The question is whether we’re willing to let Him use what He has given us.

I hope you’ll come worship with us. Come as you are, bring a friend, and let’s spend some time together remembering that our lives are still works in progress, and God can use every one of us.

“God Isn’t Finished Yet!”

Join us at 11am this morning as Pastor Jerome Grotts will bring the message, “God Isn’t Finished Yet,” based on Romans 11:1-2a, 29-32.

Life can sometimes leave us wondering if we've messed things up beyond repair- or whether the best days are behind us. But Paul reminds us of some wonderful news: God is faithful, God is merciful, and God isn't finished yet!

Whether you’re carrying a burden, looking for a fresh start, or simply looking for a place to worship and fellowship, we’d love to have you with us.

Paul wrote in Romans 11:29: “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”

Romans 10:5-15
“It’s Closer Than You Think”

Have you ever made something much harder than it really needed to be? Sometimes we do the same thing with our faith.

In Romans 10:5-15, Paul reminds us that we don’t have to climb some spiritual mountain, become “good enough,” or somehow earn God’s love. In Jesus Christ, God has already come near.

But the good news doesn’t stop with us. If we have experienced God’s grace, we are also called to carry that good news to others- in ways that may be as simple as listening, forgiving, helping, inviting, or sharing our own story.

This Sunday, Pastor Jerome Grotts be preaching “It’s Closer Than You Think,” as we consider what it means to believe, confess, and go.

We’ll also celebrate Holy Communion together, and after worship we’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall for our Back-to-School Luncheon as we celebrate and pray for our students, teachers, and school workers as a new school year begins.
