Gingerlee Childs, 61, of Payson, Arizona, passed away on June 4, 2026, after a gallant and brave battle with liver and pancreatic cancer. Throughout her illness, Gingerlee held onto an unwavering faith that the Lord would heal her and make her whole. While that healing did not happen on earth, she is now resting free of pain and sickness in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
She was born in Hollywood, California, where her mother pursued an acting career. Gingerlee moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1973. She grew up attending Monte Vista Elementary School and Camelback High School. Following high school, enrolled in cosmetology school. As a hairdresser, she spent years making people look their best, always aiming to bring out the inner positivity and bright light in everyone she met.
Later in life, Gingerlee found her favorite career and adventure in Payson, Arizona, as the part-owner of an RV sales and repair business. She loved the community, the mountains, and the life she built there.
Gingerlee brought an undeniable light into every room. She lived and loved with her whole heart, whether she was singing along to a guitar, serving her Church, or supporting her lifelong best friend’s wildest ideas. She could always see the absolute best in people, even when they couldn't see it in themselves.
Gingerlee was preceded in death by her grandmother, Leona (Gigi) Thompson, and her mother, Nadine Childs. She had 3 husbands: Keven Dunham (deceased) Greg Brunson, and Joseph Terborg. She loved each one with her whole heart and each one gave her great memories, passion and love in return.
She is survived by a deeply grateful circle of family and friends who adored her. Her vibrant legacy lives on through the endless laughter, love, and memories she left behind.
