What we set our hearts and minds upon will have a tremendous influence on the way we live.

In Colossians 3, the Bible reminds believers that because we have been raised with Christ, our lives should now be centered upon Him. We are told to “seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”

This does not mean that we ignore our responsibilities here on earth. We still have families to care for, work to do, bills to pay, and everyday decisions to make. But none of those things should become more important than our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Because we belong to Christ, we should begin looking at this life from an eternal perspective. Our priorities should be shaped by His Word. Our decisions should honor Him. Our desires should increasingly reflect what pleases Him rather than simply what satisfies us.

The Christian life is not just about adding Jesus to everything else we already have. When Christ saves us, He gives us new life, and that new life should have a new direction.

Today, in the middle of everything demanding your attention, keep your heart and mind focused upon Jesus. Seek the things that are above, live with eternity in view, and allow your relationship with Christ to shape the way you live here and now.

Our relationship with God was never meant to be just one part of our lives. Jesus calls us to love Him with everything we are.

In Matthew 22, Jesus was asked which commandment in the Law was the greatest. His answer went directly to the heart of our relationship with God: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Jesus was quoting a command God had already given His people in Deuteronomy. Loving God is not simply about saying that we believe in Him or attending church. It is a wholehearted devotion that reaches into every area of our lives—our desires, our thoughts, our priorities, our decisions, and the way we live each day.

Our love for God is also a response to the love He has shown us. Through Jesus Christ, we see just how great His love is. He gave His Son for our salvation, and because we belong to Him, He deserves more than a portion of our hearts. He deserves all of us.

Today, ask yourself: Does my life reflect a wholehearted love for the Lord? May our prayer be that the Holy Spirit helps us love God more deeply, follow Him more faithfully, and live each day in a way that brings Him glory.

God is so good and working miracles at the little church at paw paw. We are getting a new roof put on the church and new siding that is very much needed. We have started Sunday school at 10 a Sunday night service once a month and Wednesday night service starting tonight. We have a very family loving church every one is welcome. We give all the glory to God.

There are many things in life that change, but the goodness and faithfulness of God never do.

Psalm 100 is a joyful call to worship. It tells all the earth to shout triumphantly to the Lord, to serve Him with gladness, and to come before Him with joyful songs. Then the psalm closes by reminding us why He is worthy of our praise: “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”

God’s goodness is not determined by how our day is going. His faithfulness does not change when our circumstances change. There may be seasons when we do not understand what He is doing, but we can still trust who He is.

The same God who was faithful to generations before us is faithful to us today, and He will remain faithful to the generations that come after us. Most importantly, we see the greatness of His love demonstrated through Jesus Christ and the salvation He has provided for us.

Whatever today may bring, we have a reason to praise the Lord. He is good. His steadfast love endures forever. His faithfulness never runs out.

God is worthy of our praise from the beginning of the day until the end of it.

Psalm 113 calls the servants of the Lord to praise His name, declaring, “From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised!” This is more than a beautiful picture of sunrise and sunset. It reminds us that the Lord is worthy of praise continually and everywhere.

Our praise should not depend upon whether everything is going the way we hoped. God does not become less faithful when we have a difficult day. He does not become less good when we face disappointment. Our circumstances may change, but the character of God never changes.

As believers, we have even greater reason to praise Him because we know the salvation He has given us through Jesus Christ. Whether today brings joy or difficulty, we can still praise the Lord for who He is, for what He has done, and for the hope we have in Christ.

So from the moment the sun rises until it sets, may our lives bring honor to the name of the Lord. He has been faithful, He is faithful today, and He will continue to be faithful.

When Jesus saves us, He does more than forgive our past. He gives us new life in Him.

In Romans 6, the Bible teaches us that believers are united with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection. Paul uses baptism as a picture of this truth: the old life is buried with Christ, and just as Jesus was raised from the dead, we are called to walk in newness of life.

That means salvation should make a difference in the way we live. We are not saved because we have changed ourselves, and we certainly do not earn salvation by good works. We are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. But when Christ saves us, He begins transforming our lives.

The person we used to be does not have to determine the person we are becoming. Sin no longer has the right to rule our lives. Through Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can leave the old life behind and live the new life God has given us.

Today, remember who you are in Christ. You have been united with Him, and because Jesus lives, you can walk in the new life He has given you.
