As we wrap up our week in Mississippi, my heart is full.
Because of my Native heritage (Beames) I've always dreamed of serving alongside Native communities. This week, God allowed that dream to become a reality as we partnered with Pastor J and his “Choctaw Christian Church” to serve the Choctaw community at Crystal Ridge.
We painted houses, served meals, worked hard, led VBS, and built relationships. But what I'll remember most are the people.
The Choctaw kids amazed us. Their athleticism, determination, pride in their heritage, and joy were evident every day. They welcomed us, laughed with us,and reminded us that God is at work in powerful ways.
I was also deeply encouraged by Pastor J. The way he loves his people, serves his community, and faithfully shepherds his church is a beautiful picture of what ministry looks like. His leadership left a lasting impact on all of us.
Our students served incredibly well this week. They worked hard, adapted when plans changed, loved people well, and represented Christ with humility and compassion. I couldn't be more proud of them.
We came hoping to be a blessing, but we leave blessed ourselves.
Thankful for the friendships, the memories, and the reminder that God's family is bigger and more beautiful than we often realize.
Choctaw Nation, thank you for welcoming us.
We'll be back. ❤️

Summer is here, and we’re kicking things off in a big way!

📖 A brand-new summer series through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount
🏐 Volleyball Tournament
We’ll start in the Studio at 6:30 PM as we launch LIFTOFF, our summer series focused on what Jesus taught about living differently in a world that often chases the wrong things.
Then we’ll head to the WAC (new gym) for our volleyball tournament!
🏐 Team sign-ups begin at 6:15 PM outside the Studio.
Bring a friend, bring your game face, and come ready for an awesome night.

My Redemption Story: Valerie

She knew about God…
but didn’t truly know Him.

For years, she lived with one foot in and one foot out—
trying to control everything on her own.

But when she finally surrendered her life to Christ,
everything changed.

The way she saw herself.
The way she saw others.
The way she saw her future.

Now she knows this:

God doesn’t just use the most knowledgeable.
He uses the obedient.
