Join us for Mass on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 at 9:00 AM.

Memorial Day Prayer:
God our creator and sustainer,
today our country brings to our memory
those who have defended this nation in times of trouble.

They have sacrificed their lives to protect our shores
from those who would limit our freedoms
or enslave us to ways that are against your will.
Bring all those who have died in service to our country
into your heavenly presence.

We humbly call down your blessing on those still serving;
grant your heavenly protection to these men and women,
and open your Sacred Heart to give them peace and comfort.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

The permanent deacons who were ordained for service in the Diocese of Cleveland in 2001 celebrated their 25th anniversary of ordination with Mass at St. Bridget on Saturday, May 16. Our Pastor, Father Rob, celebrated the Mass and our deacon, Jim Armstrong, delivered the homily. Also attending were Deacon Jim’s wife, Lori, and Deacon Jim’s classmates, Deacon Paul Kipfstuhl from St. Francis Xavier Parish in Medina and his wife, Michelle, Deacon Dale Youngblood and his wife, Ann, from Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Doylestown, and Deacon Mike Jervis and his wife, Arlene, from Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Litchfield. Our parish was pleased to host this special celebration. May God continue to bless the permanent deacon class of 2001 in their diaconal ministry of service to the people of God.
