Congregation Kol Tikvah

Congregation Kol Tikvah A Reform temple located in Parkland, Florida, tailored to meet the needs of our growing congregation

When six young Parkland families gathered for Shabbat dinner one Friday night in March of 1991, they were united by a common goal: the desire to establish a synagogue in the rapidly growing city of Parkland. The families had among them a Jew by Choice, an interfaith couple, and several adopted children. The decision to identify as a Reform congregation was grown from the need to have all of these

individuals be unequivocally accepted and made to feel welcome. A mission statement was established, and decisions were made concerning a permanent location in Parkland and a by laws mandate to keep the size on the smaller scale. The name was chosen as Congregation Kol Tikvah, as the word temple did not evoke the sense of community that the word congregation conveyed . Today, membership has grown to 365 households, putting the congregation within range of its 400 unit membership cap. Many of these families have children as evidenced by the 350 students enrolled in Religious School and 135 in a growing Early Childhood Center.

Kol Tikvah showed up in a BIG way for Mitzvah Monday—thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to make it happen!

Just in case you missed our Thankful Thursday last week 💙

We’re still feeling so much gratitude as we celebrate Rabbi Bradd H. Boxman — someone whose love for Camp Coleman can be felt in every corner of camp. From the pool, to LaB, to his favorite spot at the hockey pavilion, Rabbi Boxman brings unmatched energy, joy, and connection to our campers each and every summer!

As he prepares for retirement, we honor the incredible impact he’s made on our community. His presence, passion, and dedication have helped shape the Camp Coleman experience for so many, and his legacy will continue to live on in the memories he created. Rabbi Boxman, we are TRULY thankful for you!
