🎉 What a fantastic Purim celebration we had with the amazing students of Inspired Torah Schoolhouse! 🎉

The residents had a blast making Hamentaschen together, those delicious traditional Purim cookies. 🍪 They also enjoyed a lively game of Purim Bingo, sang songs, and even put on a delightful puppet show! 🎭

Thank you to all the students for bringing such joy and companionship to our local seniors.

📝A Crumpled Paper (by Shira Wajsbort)

The other day, my children were happily coloring on pieces of paper. They sat together on the floor while sharing colors and creating their own unique designs. Suddenly, my oldest, Mushka, left her intricate drawing to go use the bathroom. While she was away, my 2-year-old, Rosie, spotted Mushka’s paper she had left behind on the floor while she was in the bathroom. Rosie quickly crumpled it up. She was so fast I didn’t even have time to stop her.

With my older daughter about to return, I had to find a solution fast. In moments like these, a mothers quick response is essential. Just as Mushka emerged from the bathroom, tears began welling in her eyes as she spotted her crumpled drawing in the hands of her younger sister. I had an idea.
I took Mushkas' drawing and smoothed it out on the floor. "Wow, Mushka, what a unique twist! A crumpled drawing—it's so different!" I exclaimed.

Mushka's face lit up with a smile as she proudly explained to all how cool her new drawing looked. Encouraged by her reaction, my middle child followed suit, crumpling her own drawing. In no time, they were all enthusiastically, deliberately crumpling their papers and then smoothing them out to enjoy this new “textured” art form.

Life presents us with choices—much like the drawings we create. We pour our hearts into crafting beautiful moments and experiences with careful and planned out strokes of our crayons.

Yet, on October 7th, our papers were crumpled. Our drawings altered, our lives forever changed. Despite the pain and devastation, we strive to find a new perspective. Life, after all, is all about perspective. In the face of adversity—when our lives feel smothered and our loved ones threatened—we search for silver linings, transforming the inexplicable into opportunity.

Echoing in my mind is a thought that guide us through these trying times. If you look at the current situation, we see despair, but if you look at the history of the Jews in any conflict or era, we have always prevailed and our enemies have become mere pieces of the past, ceasing to exist.
.Though the present may seem bleak, history tells a different story. Throughout conflicts and trials, the Jewish people have endured, emerging stronger each time. Our adversaries, mere footnotes in the annals of time, while we endure as an eternal nation, guided by Hashem's presence.

As we approach Purim, the time when we remember miracles Hashem performs for us, we can look to the future with hope and optimism. In our Purim story, the Jewish people were in danger and despair, a paper shriveled and crumpled. Hashem then made a miracle and sm-
