The staff have only been on site for 9 hours and they get to experience their first storm warming and heading to shelter. We weren't going to start staff training until 9 am, but we can now cross off severe storm training!

Our summer season is starting. 3 of our international staff arrived this evening. One more will arrive tomorrow afternoon. Our waterfront coordinator/head lifeguard arrived this evening as well. We will start our staff training tomorrow. Please keep all of them in your prayers as they begin their summer of sharing Christ, creation and community here among the tall pines. It was Camp Sunday at Riverside UMC in Park Rapids today. What a joy to share the ministry of Camp Minnesota at a church with a rich history of supporting Camp ministry at Northern Pines Camp and Retreat Center and across the conference.

We have a great group of volunteers here working this weekend. They are putting shingles on ramps for safe walking, a new cover on Cornerstone crawl space, a new door on the wood room at the lodge, and doing multiple projects inside the lodge. They are a gift to us as we prepare for summer. We appreciate our volunteers!
