Calvary Hard Hats has been helping people all over town this week. The following things are happening:

1. Blake has been busy putting up grab bars for a person in need down by Menahga.
2. Steve Bade did a great job staining a deck in Nevis. He finished today. The storm last night knocked down some branches so he also hauled away a large load of brush.
3. Cedric and Cliff helped mount some TV’s and put together a table for a resident at Court Yard Apartments.
4. Brian, Jerry and Tom started staking new area at Bethel Cemetery. The corners are set and two rows of pins are placed. 90 degree weather caused us to stop for the day. More work to come on this project.
5. Jeff has been busy in his shop building signs for Camp Emmaus. Several are ready for install next week.
6. Jerry has made a great storage box for the service table at Bethel.

The good stuff is, the week is only half complete.

Family Ministry is inviting you to help us out with “SUDS OF SERVICE.” We will be collecting quarters to share God’s love and wash away some stress of everyday life. (Laundromat expenses for people in the community.)

Hard Hats at work serving those in need.

Our oldest Hard Hat volunteer cutting up and splitting wood for a neighbor who is having some health issues. Brian and Keith cut up the tree and Emmet ran the splitter. A few hours of sweat and it was all done. It feels good to help your neighbors even when you’re in your 90’s.

Calvary Hard Hat Ministries, getting a lot done in the community. (Summer is in full swing.)

Calvary Hard Hat Ministries remains busy as aways. The following things are getting done:

* Moved furniture out of a house so a senior citizen now in assisted living can sell their house. Denny, Gene, Richard, Brian, Cliff and Joe made quick work of this project using three trailers and a bunch of hand dollies.
* Primed a well for summer watering for a senior citizen. Blake said the frost is finally out of the ground. All the hoses are hooked up.
* Installed grab bars in the tub for both standing up from using the tub and to use while standing for a shower. Brian found studs to anchor the bars in solid.
* Installed stair rails to keep and elderly gentleman safe. Richard, Denny and Cliff got the job done.
* Reset doorknob and dead bolt latches for so that the doors would latch again for a senior citizen. Brian used a chisel and screw gun to get things lined up again.
* Completed a Murphy bed repair. This took seven trips, but Cedric and Brian finally got all the parts and pieces to come together.
* Delivered a picnic table being donated by Creators Place (Thank you Jean) to Peoples Church in Bemidji. Ted Johnson got it from Ponsford to Park Rapids and Denny got it to Bemidji.
* Set up a umbrella for a senior citizen. Joe and Curt got it ready for summer.
