September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

As people of faith, we are called to notice one another, listen without judgment, and offer hope to those who are hurting. We may not always know the right words to say—but we can learn how to recognize warning signs, begin a caring conversation, and help someone connect with support.

I encourage you to scan the QR code and take this suicide-prevention training. A small investment of your time could help you respond with wisdom and compassion when someone needs it most.

You do not have to be a counselor to make a difference. Sometimes the most important thing we can offer is our presence, a listening ear, and the reminder: “You are not alone. Your life matters. There is help, and there is hope.”

If you or someone you know needs immediate emotional support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. It is available 24 hours a day, every day.

Let us become a community that is informed, attentive, unafraid to talk about mental health, and ready to carry hope into the places where it is needed most.
