Paris UMC celebrated back to school season with a backpack blessing and youth service today.

The youth planned and presented the service. All students and teachers brought their school bags for a special blessing.

The youth presented a gift to Ms. Janet to thank her for her guidance and leadership in the children's message over the past three years. The church presented a gift to Lucas to celebrate his transition to high school. The church presented keychains to all who brought bags so they can remember their church family is praying for them through the year.

Earlier this week, Pastor Naftal was out visiting our youth at camp again! This time he got to see Camp Jo-Ota. Our church has a long standing partnership with the camp and we have sent generations to camp there.

Paris United Methodist Church is proud to have a partnership with the Paris Patriots 4-H Club. We give the club a place to hold project and club meetings and support them in their community efforts. The club youth also support the church in our missions in many ways.

Today Pastor Naftal represented the church at 4-H camp lunch with the members of the Paris Patriots club. It was great to show him a bit of camp and remind the 4-Hers that the church supports them in their activities.

On Sunday, May 17, we celebrated a time of transition for Lucas, Amelia, and Aiden. As they are all ending the school year, they are also transitioning out of Children's Time during Sunday service.

Thank you, Ms. Janet Huffman for all the time you have dedicated to leading them in this time over the past few years.
