On Saturday, we celebrated back to school time with our annual Splash Blast at the Paris Pool. Swimming, good food and fellowship were abundant as we helped students mark the end of their summer.

On Saturday, Kidz Connect hosted the annual fishing outing for kids from all over the community. The fish played a hard-to-get day but a few were landed. Everyone had a great morning, topped off by a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs. Watch for our next special event, the annual Back to School Pool Party at the Paris Pool on Saturday, August 22, beginning at 3 p.m. There will be lots of food and fun!

Our young people have joined more than 100 third- through sixth-graders at Camp Cedarcrest this week. Pray for the blessing of God as they learn about courage.

During VBS we took an offering to help support the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry. This offering gives our kids an opportunity to help children around the world receive a gift especially for them and learn about Jesus. VBS is finished but the opportunity for kids keeping coming. Our KIDZ Connect children's ministry is hosting a fishing trip on July 26th. Check out the information slide below. Food is provided. Please RSVP so we have an accurate number of people to prepare for.

At the end of our Celebration service for a great week of Vacation Bible School, the young people, who learned so much about Jesus as the Light of the World, gathered on stage for a great song summing up lessons for VBS. Thank God for the opportunity to minister to them last week.
