Grace Through the Flood

Genesis 6–8

This Sunday we continued our journey through Genesis and saw a powerful picture of God’s grace through the story of Noah.

The world had become filled with sin and corruption, yet in the midst of judgment, God made a way for salvation.

“But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:8)

Noah’s life reminds us that faith isn’t just believing God—it leads to obedience.

When God told Noah to build the ark, he obeyed.
When God gave instructions, Noah followed them.
His faith was demonstrated through action.

Throughout the flood account, we see:

🌊 God’s holiness and justice against sin
🛟 God’s grace and provision for salvation
🙏 The importance of faithful obedience
💙 God’s promise to remember His people

One of the most encouraging truths from this message is found in Genesis 8:1:

“But God remembered Noah…”

God never forgot Noah, and He doesn’t forget His people today.

When the floodwaters receded, God brought a new beginning. What seemed like an ending became an opportunity for restoration.

No matter what season you’re facing, God is still working.
God still saves.
God still restores.
God still brings new beginnings.

The question we were left with:

What new beginning might God be inviting you into today?

One of the hardest questions we were challenged with this Sunday:

Are you seeking God’s favor…
or the world’s approval?

The world constantly pressures us to compromise truth for acceptance.

But Scripture reminds us:
“The righteous shall live by faith.”

Following Jesus won’t always align with culture — and that’s okay.

Faithfulness matters more than fitting in.

Walk closely with God, even when it looks different from the world around you.

The world may grow darker…
but God’s grace still stands.

Genesis 6 reminds us that corruption and sin spread quickly — but Noah chose to walk differently.

“But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”
— Genesis 6:8

In a culture chasing compromise, we are still called to:
• Walk with God
• Stand firm in truth
• Live by faith

You don’t have to follow the crowd to follow Christ.

Grace still calls people back to Him.

Grace in a Corrupt World

Genesis 6

This Sunday we were reminded that even in a world filled with corruption and sin… God’s grace still stands.

Genesis 6 shows us how far humanity had drifted from God.
Sin spread. Hearts turned wicked.
And yet in the middle of darkness, one verse stands out:

“But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:8)

Noah chose to walk with God when the world around him was walking away.

We were challenged with this truth:
Sin is never “just personal.”
It spreads.
It affects others.
And it pulls hearts further from God.

But grace still calls people back.

Romans 1 reminds us that the Gospel is still the power of God for salvation.

In a corrupt world, we are called to:
• Walk closely with God
• Live by faith
• Stand firm in truth
• Extend grace while holding onto truth

God created us for fellowship with Him — not separation from Him.

The question we were left with:

Are you walking with God?
And are you looking for His favor… or the world’s approval?

Enoch lived in a dark and sinful generation…
and still chose to walk with God.

We are called to do the same.

You don’t have to blend into culture to make an impact.

You were called to shine.
To stay faithful.
To walk differently.

Even when the world grows darker, God still calls His people closer.

Faith stands out.

Faith isn’t just something we believe.
It changes how we live.

This Sunday we looked at the life of Enoch — a man who simply “walked with God.”

In a world pulling people away from truth, Enoch stayed close to God.

Faith changes:
• How you think
• How you respond
• How you endure
• How you walk

“Without faith it is impossible to please God.”
— Hebrews 11:6

Don’t just know about God.
Walk with Him daily.
