Grace Through the Flood
Genesis 6–8
This Sunday we continued our journey through Genesis and saw a powerful picture of God’s grace through the story of Noah.
The world had become filled with sin and corruption, yet in the midst of judgment, God made a way for salvation.
“But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:8)
Noah’s life reminds us that faith isn’t just believing God—it leads to obedience.
When God told Noah to build the ark, he obeyed.
When God gave instructions, Noah followed them.
His faith was demonstrated through action.
Throughout the flood account, we see:
🌊 God’s holiness and justice against sin
🛟 God’s grace and provision for salvation
🙏 The importance of faithful obedience
💙 God’s promise to remember His people
One of the most encouraging truths from this message is found in Genesis 8:1:
“But God remembered Noah…”
God never forgot Noah, and He doesn’t forget His people today.
When the floodwaters receded, God brought a new beginning. What seemed like an ending became an opportunity for restoration.
No matter what season you’re facing, God is still working.
God still saves.
God still restores.
God still brings new beginnings.
The question we were left with:
What new beginning might God be inviting you into today?
