Jacob saw a ladder reaching from earth to heaven.

Centuries later, Jesus showed us what that picture was pointing toward.

Jesus is our way to the Father.

We don’t have to earn our way to God.
We don’t have to work our way to Him.
We don’t have to be good enough.

Grace made a way.

Jesus is the bridge between our brokenness and God’s holiness.

He is the way. He is the truth. He is the life. ✝️

Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve been to church.

Maybe you’re not sure what it would feel like to walk through those doors again.

Maybe you’re carrying hurt.
Maybe you feel lost.
Maybe you have questions.
Maybe you’re simply looking for a place to belong.

Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to have it all figured out before you come.

No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’re carrying, there’s a place for you here.

Come as you are.
Come worship with us.
Come hear the Word.
Come find community.
Come see what God can do.

We’d love to see you this Sunday. 💙

MEET OUR CHURCH FAMILY
JOHN & SARA TEODOZOW 💙

You know them as our pastors. You may know them from Sunday mornings, Bible studies, kids ministry, or simply serving alongside you.

But today, we want you to get to know John & Sara a little more! 👋🏼

After 38 years of marriage and more than a decade serving together at Grace Point, their story is one of faith, service, growth, and a whole lot of God’s grace.

Here’s what they shared with us…

⛪ PASTOR JOHN

How long have you been at Grace Point?
“I have been here 12 years and I’m also the founding pastor.”

How did you and Sara meet?
“We met in Bible college, on the steps of the cafeteria at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.”

When did you feel called to ministry?
“We had always served in our local church, but I didn’t feel the call to ministry until 2013.”

❤️ What do you love about our church family?
“Our church family is just real people doing their best to serve a real God.”

📖 Favorite Bible verse?
“Romans 8:1. It really freed me and helped me understand that the condemnation of God ends when salvation begins. Jesus took it all and paid it all.”

💡 One of the biggest lessons God has taught you in ministry?
“Wolves often come dressed as some of the best Christians.”

🦅 Something most people know about you?
“I’m a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan! I grew up in the shadow of Veterans Stadium for the most part.”

And apparently, we also need to know that Pastor John LOVES scrapple — a Pennsylvania Dutch breakfast food. 😂
(He strongly recommends that you Google it!)

🙏 What are you looking forward to at Grace Point?
“I’m looking forward to all that God has for Grace Point. I’m so encouraged by the discipleship that’s taking place and the people that God is bringing along to help me do this ministry.”

💙 SARA

How long have you been married?
“38 years on August 27!”

💍 How did you meet John?
“We met at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, on the steps of the cafeteria.”

✨ Favorite part of serving alongside John?
“Honestly, I have my own ministries and giftings, but it’s great to have his support through everything.”

🙏 What has God been teaching you?
“To rely on Him more and worry less!”

💙 What do you love about Grace Point?
“My church family is amazing! I love being with everyone and learning and growing together.”

👧🏼 Favorite ministry?
“Kids ministry has become my favorite. My grandmother, Mammy, was instrumental in my love for all the Bible stories, and I like to think I am following her example. I want the kids to love Jesus like I do.”

📖 Favorite Bible passage?
“I love all the praise verses, especially Psalm 117. The whole chapter. All 2 verses of it. Praise the Lord!” 😂🙌🏼

🚜 Fun fact?
“I once popped a wheelie on a tractor!” 😂😂

🎲 Favorite things?
“Playing games, reading books, and hanging with my church family.”

🙏 What do you pray for Grace Point?
“That as God reveals Himself to us, we listen and are changed.”

And finally…

💙 Thinking about joining our church family?

Sara says it best:

“Come just as you are! God loves you and so do we!” 🥰

This is Grace Point — ordinary, imperfect, real people seeking a real God, growing together, serving together, and following Jesus together.

We’re so thankful for the Teodozows and the years they’ve poured into this church family. 💙

Now it’s your turn…

Jacob wasn’t looking for God.

He was running.

But God met him right where he was.

And maybe you need that reminder today:

God knows where you are.
God sees where you’ve been.
And God is still pursuing you.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come to Him.

His grace meets you where you are. 💙

This week, our kids went on a mountain-climbing adventure as they learned one very important truth:

We ALL need Jesus!

Through the story of Nicodemus meeting Jesus, our kids learned that salvation isn’t something we can earn on our own—we need Jesus.

From climbing games and creative activities to Bible lessons and hands-on applications, every part of the lesson points them back to the same truth:

Jesus is not just something we want.
Jesus is who we NEED. ❤️

📖 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”
— Matthew 5:3 (NLT)

We’re thankful for every opportunity to help our kids know Jesus, love His Word, and grow in their faith!

And behind every great Kids Ministry experience are volunteers who show up, serve, teach, encourage, and love these kids well. 💙

Sometimes we aren’t looking for God—but God is looking for us.

In Genesis 28, Jacob was on the run. He wasn’t exactly searching for God, yet God met him right where he was.

Jacob dreamed of a ladder reaching from earth to heaven, with angels going up and down it. God reminded Jacob of His promises and His presence:

“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go.”

Jacob called the place Bethel, meaning house of God.

What a beautiful picture of grace.

Grace meets us where we are.

Jacob wasn’t perfect.
Jacob wasn’t looking for God.
Jacob didn’t have everything figured out.

But God was looking for Jacob.

And the same is true for us.

📖 Romans 5:8 reminds us that God demonstrated His love for us while we were still sinners.

📖 Ephesians 2:8–9 reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith—not by what we accomplish.

And the ladder Jacob saw points us toward something even greater:

Jesus is our way to the Father.

Through Christ, God came down to us.

Jesus is our mediator.
Jesus gives us access to God.
Jesus is the way.
Jesus is enough.

God’s grace doesn’t simply meet us where we are and leave us there.

Grace changes us.

It calls us to grow in our relationship with Christ, to know Him more deeply, and to live differently because of what He has done for us.

So wherever you are today—running, searching, struggling, questioning, or simply trying to figure out your next step—

God sees you.
God is with you.
God is pursuing you.
And His grace is still reaching for you.

You don’t have to clean yourself up before coming to God.

Come as you are.

His grace meets you there.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
— Ephesians 2:8

**Grace meets us where we are.

Grace gives us access to Jesus.
Grace changes us as we grow in Him.** 💙

God had a plan before Jacob and Esau ever took their first breath.

Before they understood it.
Before they could see it.
Before circumstances made sense.

God already knew.

And that’s still true for us.

You may not understand what God is doing right now.

You may be tempted to take matters into your own hands.

You may be tired of waiting.

But don’t let one moment convince you to abandon God’s promise.

His timing is worth trusting.

His plan is worth waiting for.

His promises are worth holding onto.

Don’t let today’s circumstances make you forget tomorrow’s promise.

💙 Trust God. He sees the whole story.

You should come to church when…

You’re tired.
You’re hurting.
You’re overwhelmed.
You need prayer.
You have questions.
You need hope.
You want community.
You have something to celebrate.
Or maybe you simply know you need Jesus. ❤️

The truth is—you don’t have to have it all together before you walk through the doors.

Come as you are. Come worship with us. Come find a place to belong.

A bowl of stew wasn’t really the problem.

The problem was what Esau was willing to give up for it.

He traded something incredibly valuable for something that would satisfy him for only a moment.

And sometimes, we do the same.

We let a temporary desire become more important than God’s lasting purpose.

Before you make a decision this week, ask yourself:

“Is what I want right now worth what it could cost me later?”

Don’t trade God’s best for temporary satisfaction.

Choose what lasts. 💙
