As the St. Mary Gate of Heaven parish, we enjoyed a rich spiritual, ecclesial, and fraternal experience this summer during our pilgrimage to Mexico, undertaken to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Father Baltazar Sánchez Alonzo’s priestly ordination. In addition to the organized pilgrimage group, other parishioners made their own way to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe to attend the thanksgiving Mass. Beyond the Basilica and Mexico City, we traveled to Querétaro to visit the Marian Center of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. In Aguascalientes, we visited the *Cristo Roto* (Broken Christ) monument and a winery. In Zacatecas, we visited Cañitas de Felipe Pescador—Father Baltazar’s hometown—where his family welcomed us with great warmth and affection. We also visited the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the place where Fr. Baltazar first heard the call to the priesthood, as well as the home of Blessed Martyr Miguel Agustín Pro and the beautiful colonial city of Zacatecas.
Como parroquia Santa María Puerta del Cielo hemos vivido un en este verano una experiencia espiritual, eclesial y fraterna muy rica al realizar nuestra peregrinación a México en celebración por el 30 Aniversario Sacerdotal del el Padre Baltazar Sánchez Alonzo. A parte de los peregrinos algunos parroquianos por su cuenta también se dieron cita en la Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe para celebrar la eucaristía de acción de gracias. Además de la Basílica y la Ciudad de México peregrinamos a Querétaro al Centro Mariano de Nuestra Señora Desatadora de Nudos. En Aguascalientes visitamos al Cristo Roto y un una vinícola. En Zacatecas estuvimos en Cañitas de Felipe Pescador Zacatecas, lugar de origen del Padre Baltazar, su familia nos atendió con mucho afecto y cariño. Visitamos el Santuario Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, lugar donde el P. Baltazar escuchó el llamado al sacerdocio, además de visitar la casa del Beato Mártir Miguel Agustín Pro, y la hermosa ciudad colonial deZacatecas
