✨ just a lil chit chat for your day ✨

Catholicism and fashion design were parts of ourselves we thought would be at odds with each other when we went to college. We made plans for how to nurture our faith lives in NYC as design students and tried to mentally prepare ourselves.

We were so happy to realize that this love for design, for beauty, for the dignity of the human person, for our wonder and contemplation of God, all went together in such a life-giving way.

Are there any things you expected to be at odds with your faith life that have surprised you by supporting it? ❤️

And, don't mind the street noise, New York is... new yorking 🤌🏻

Do you know a bride in the NYC area who's been eyeing the Cana Scarf? 🤍

Send her this reel to connect her with for a limited collaboration we've been cooking up 🥳

Every now and then it just strikes me.

That if Sister Maria Dominique hadn't had the courage and openness to start a fashion line together right before she entered the convent, if I hadn't had the courage to continue our mission, and if the women Litany has brought together along the way hadn't reached out and opened up about our hopes for the fashion industry...

I would still be living in the waiting room.

Not in hope, but a place of fear disguised as hope.

Never stepping forward, because then I couldn't "mess it up." Then there would always be the potential of Litany, but never the reality.

When God plants a seed in our hearts he gives us the grace, the hope, the strength we need to let it bloom. He places people in our lives who encourage us, who see our calling, and who help us nurture it.

I tear up every time I think about seeing the women in my life in the pews on my wedding day. I would not be who I am, where I am, or trusting in Whose I am without their love, their steadfast encouraging hearts.

Fear can exist alongside hope, but these women have shown me that hope will outshine it every time you trust in the promptings of the Holy Spirit and pour yourself into your heart's calling.

This is what I want Litany to be for every woman who finds us, reads our blogs, wears our scarves, or even just interacts with the other women who make up this incredible community.

A huge part of why I was able to actually take in these moments on my wedding day and be present to the grace all around was because of Kaitlyn from 🌱 When we first met and bonded over our shared hopes for women's hearts, I secretly hoped that we would get to work together one day, personally or professionally.

Beyond my sweetest hopes, we get to do both. Working with a fellow woman of faith to coordinate such a blessed day allowed me to turn off the performance part of my brain and just BE as I stepped into the sacrament of marriage with my spouse.

I want every woman to experience that freedom, and so we're collaborating to bring 3 brides who book a consultation call with her a little piece of Litany to carry them through their engagement 🤍

Any ideas? 👀

This spring we are finally sharing our new design that's been on our minds and hearts for the past year 🤍

We had the honor of traveling to Rome right after Pope Leo's papacy began, and we were so moved by the excitement and flurry of our new shepherd.

His homily on Good Shepherd Sunday still makes Veronica tear up when reading it. So much so that we knew it had to become something we could share with you.

Coming soon... 👀

Nothing sweeter than trips to the convent and hugs to hold us over until next time 🥰

Oh God, who in your loving providence, chose St. Joseph to be the Spouse of your Blessed Mother, grant us the favor of having him as our intercessor in Heaven, whom on earth we venerate as our protector 💙💚

While Veronica was designing our St. Joseph Spouse of Our Lady scarf she was in the process of making her own consecration to St. Joseph. The outcome was pages upon pages of sketching vignettes of his life, some of which made it into the final scarf. Contemplation through creativity, prayer through art.

Our hope for you on this feast day is that you can be wrapped in the luminous truth that you are never alone and never unprotected. St. Joseph is the father Jesus has shared with all of us- and he will always come when you call.

Happy Feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of Our Lady!!! ✨✨✨

Lent Liturgical Style: incorporating color and materials✨

Rich hues of violets, mauves, and plums contrast with simple textiles of cotton, burlap, h**p, and linen. These textiles can be difficult to style in chillier weather, though!

Some ideas:

✨ Hike a cotton skirt up over a pair of pants and boots for added dimension

✨ Layer a cotton blouse with the collar peaking out of a warm sweater and blazer

✨ Drape a light linen sash over your shoulders with knots at the ends to add some weight and visual interest

Which one of these will you be trying? ☺️

When we're feeling a bit down with the weather, we like to make a mood board for the scarf-du-jour 🥀
