It is entirely possible to be in a crowded room and still feel completely alone. But the church was never meant to be a crowd of spectators looking at the backs of each other's heads.

The Bible calls us a body, a household, and a family.

We know that opening up is messy, and past disappointments can make us want to build walls. But we're committed to staying at the table together and embracing the beautiful mess of community.

In just one week, our mission team will be stepping onto the streets of Mexico, and we want to send them off with their hands ready to help. That is the heartbeat behind our Buckets for Baja contribution this coming Sunday!

This special offering isn't for a pre-planned project or for our team's needs; instead, it is for those beautiful, unexpected moments of grace. Whether it is helping a local family buy mattresses for a good night's sleep, bringing flowers to comfort a mourning family, or sharing something special to bring a smile to a child's face, we want our team to be ready to say yes to whatever quiet needs arise.

What do you get when you mix a passion for Studio Art and Math with a heart for Business Analytics and the great outdoors?

You get our incredible new summer interns, Ally and Jay! We are so excited for the new energy and influence they are bringing to our youth ministry starting this Sunday.

Ally (a junior math and studio art major at Freed-Hardeman) brings a creative heart for painting, sculpting, and crocheting to our students. Jay (a sophomore business analytics major at Freed-Hardeman) is happiest when he’s running, fishing, or just hanging out with people.

We are a church that is committed to Christ, committed to each other, and committed to this community, and we believe having these two with us for the summer is a big part of that journey.
