Lighting the Darkness foundation, a 501(c)(3) is glad to announce that the structure phase of our community center is completed in Paraiso, Dominican Republic. Now we are raising funds to complete all other aspects to finalize this project. This will be a “Light House”, a base from which to keep evangelizing and training our youth and children. It will also assist over 200 elderly as well as equip pastors to extend their outreach in the area.
We have been working hard since 2008 to bring God’s will to Paraiso. Your donations will finally allow us to have a permanent presence in Paraiso’s community so we can keep advancing God’s kingdom in a more effective way as well as transforming lives one person at a time, for Christ.
The evangelization work needs to keep going now more than ever. In this uncertain world we must invest part of our treasures in the eternal things we were commanded to do. The center’s structure is already built. Please help us complete all areas remaining.
The center is located in the Main Street of Paraiso and will be the first and only Missionary House in the south-west area located between Barahona and Haiti’s border.
Once the center is completed, we will start the second phase which will accommodate missionaries from around the world to work in this extremely poor area where 70% of the families are in extreme poverty. Due to Covid-19 pandemic our main event "Latin Dinner" this year will be a virtual fundraiser. Therefore, we are asking you to please consider donating online through our website below.
