Mobile Food Pantry

The next mobile food pantry at the Orient United Methodist Church is scheduled for Monday, June 8th starting at 3 p.m. We will have enough food to feed 120 families.
Those picking up food, need to have complete addresses for anyone receiving food. There is still a limit of two sets if you're picking up for other people. These are requirements from the Food Bank of Iowa & they must be followed if we want to keep our mobile food pantry open.
1. As usual, we would like folks to stay in their cars as we have done in the past and we ask that you turn off of Highway 25 one block EAST of the church onto Broad Street and turn left across from the elevator and follow the signs around the ABC park to enter the church parking lot from the north to pick up your food.
2. We welcome anyone in need of food but see the table on the registration postcard for the income guidelines. You are also eligible to receive food if you do not meet the income guidelines but are eligible for SNAP or Free or Reduced lunches. Regardless of your eligibility, if you are in need of food, please come and receive your boxes of food.
3. Some of the food will be pre-boxed so you don't have to bring containers to put the food into.
4. Please bring back clean reusable shopping bags. Thank you!

We need someone to instruct us & we need to go to the correct place to find that someone.
The Holy Spirit gives us directions & instructions.
Let the Holy Spirit work inside us.

Instructions we have been given:
If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
Don’t bite off more than you can chew.
Be good. & if you can’t be good, be careful!
Expect the best. Prepare for the worst.

Sometimes we can’t do things by ourselves.
Jesus prayed for us. He prayed for us to work together.
