Romans 8:6 says,
“For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Where you set your mind today is your decision. The Spirit is fully available, ready and willing to lead you to abounding joy and peace.
And the enemy is prowling like a lion seeking to devour your thoughts that they might breed emotional and even physical death (1 Peter 5:8).

2 Thessalonians 3:16 says,
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”

What it takes for us to have peace “at all times in every way” is to simply fellowship with “the Lord of peace.” When we meet with God we position ourselves to receive all the abundant life he has to give. In encountering a peaceful God the weight of the world seems to lift off.
In discovering his unconditional love the stress of continually seeking love from others falls away.

Isaiah 55:12 says,
"For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
The Lord longs to make us a people that go out in joy. He longs to make us children who are overwhelmed by his love to the degree that the cares of this world pale in comparison to his grace and affections.
Ask the Lord for perspective today. Allow the Spirit to help you focus your attention on the true purpose for which you were created:
• restored relationship with your heavenly Father.
Choose the joy of the Lord over the stress and cares of the world.
Choose to “be led forth in peace” rather than led by your flesh.
And experience today the lifestyle of carrying the joy of the Lord with you everywhere you go.
May others come to know the abundant goodness of your heavenly Father through the way you exude joy.

Father, You know every heartbeat and every hair on my head.
Thank You for hearing my prayers and for answering so many of them in ways I could recognize.
Have mercy on me when an answer is delayed, hidden, or different from what I desired.
Even when I cannot trace Your hand, teach me to trust Your presence and wisdom.
You work for the good of those who love You and for the glory of Your name, though that good may not feel easy.
Strengthen my faith so that I continue calling on You.
In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
{David Tyree, aka "Preacher", thank you for this on time prayer}

Father of every heavenly light, I come before You with all my flaws, failures, and sins, and I ask You to gently correct me. Please pardon me and cleanse me through the shed blood of Jesus so that I may be blameless, holy, and spotless in Your eyes. Lord, I want to serve You and Your church rather than just ask for Your forgiveness. Please guide me toward being of use. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
(Thank you to David Tyree)
