Flood Relief Update – Vietnam

With heartfelt gratitude, Sukhavati Buddhist Association would like to share a brief update on our flood relief efforts in Vietnam. Through your generosity, we raised $3,150, with an additional $1,500 pledged, allowing us to offer direct support to approximately 350 families rebuilding after the floods in Bình Định and Phú Yên.

This work was carried out in the spirit of collective care. Alongside the support of other individuals and groups helping to rebuild affected temples and community spaces, our shared efforts were able to reach a total of 470–480 families. Families received support based on need, with amounts ranging from 200,000–500,000 VND.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who donated, shared, and held this work with compassion. Your kindness has brought real relief, dignity, and hope to families during a very difficult time. 🙏

With gratitude,
Sukhavati Buddhist Association

Dear friends and family,

Severe flooding in Central Vietnam has already taken at least 72 lives, with more missing and over 235,000 houses were submerged. Entire communities, especially in rural areas where rescue teams have difficulty reaching, are in urgent need of support.

Sukhavati Buddhist Association (501c3) is pledging $1,500 toward compassionate outreach. We are asking for your help to raise another $1,500 — at $15 per family, the $3,000 total amount will allow us to provide food and care packages to 200 families affected by the floods.

We are working directly with local temples and charitable organizations to ensure the aid reaches those who need it most.

All donations are tax-deductible (our EIN. 88-1069610)

If your heart is moved, we welcome your support. We are grateful if you can share this on your page/feeds.

Thank you for your kindness and compassion.

🙏 Metta to all.

“The mind is everything. What you think you become.” — Dhammapada 1:1-2

Reflection: The Buddha teaches us about the power of the mind and how our thoughts shape our reality and actions. By nurturing positive and inspiring thoughts, we have the ability to transform our dreams into reality, heal ourselves, and grow as individuals.

Meditation: Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Focus on the meaning of “The mind is everything.”
With each breath, feel the connection between your thoughts and your actions. Let positive thoughts guide you, understanding that what you think will shape who you become and the life you live

“Tâm trí là tất cả. Những gì bạn nghĩ, bạn trở thành.” — Dhammapada 1:1-2
