Last week a voice from heaven said, come out of her. This Sunday we find out what happened to everyone who stayed.

Three groups stand at a distance and watch the city burn. Kings, merchants, sailors. They throw dust on their heads and they cry out, and every single one of them says the same words.

Not one of them says he is sorry.

Come and hear what they were actually mourning.

speaks from heaven, and it is not speaking to Babylon. It is speaking to
God's people. Here is what is ahead:

Good morning, church. This week Pastor Patrick continues Thy Will Be Done with "Come Out of Her," from Revelation 18:1-8. Last Sunday an angel showed John the counterfeit bride, the woman who was not the real thing. This morning another angel comes down, the earth is made bright with his glory, and he announces a death. Babylon is fallen. Then a second voice speaks from heaven, and it is not speaking to Babylon.

This morning we will see:
• Evil empires, systems, and people will fall
• God calls His own to flee from evil
• Pride comes before the downfall

Come out of Babylon and come to Christ. Share it: God wins, evil falls. Steward what God has given to glorify God.

Come to Christ as you are. You cannot stay as you are.

Last week we went over the counterfeit bride: a woman in scarlet with a cup of gold in her hand. This Sunday, we will go over the call to come out of Babylon.

An angel comes down with so much authority that the whole earth is made bright with his glory, and he announces the downfall of Babylon. "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great." He says it in the past tense, while the city is still standing and still rich.

Then a second voice speaks from heaven. And it is not talking to Babylon.

"Come out of her."

Come and hear who it is talking to.

Yesterday Pastor Patrick preached "The Counterfeit Bride" from Revelation 17, week 30 of our journey through Revelation. An angel shows John a woman who is not the Bride, and John marvels at her. As Pastor Patrick put it: Babylon is beautiful, but not all things that are beautiful are good. Here is what is ahead at Ontario Community Church:

✓ This Sunday, August 30: "Come Out of Her," Revelation 18:1-8. Babylon has fallen, and a second voice calls God's people out of the city. What do we do when God calls us out of a burning city? 🔥

✓ Women's Bible Study (Wednesdays, 3 PM) and Men's Formation (Thursdays, 10 AM) are both a few weeks in, and both are still easy to walk into.

✓ Youth Night returns Thursday, September 3, 6:30 to 8:00, grades 9-12. 🙌

The Counterfeit Bride, from Revelation 17, plus what's ahead at OCC.

Good morning, church. This week Pastor Patrick continues Thy Will Be Done with "The Counterfeit Bride," from Revelation 17:1-18. An angel shows John the judgment of the great pr******te, the counterfeit bride. She is beautiful, but sometimes beauty can be deadly. The same angel later shows John the Bride, the wife of the Lamb. Two women are set before us, and both are cities.

This morning we will see:
• Sin is a Sweet but Deadly Poison
• Babylon is Consumed in Darkness
• The Counterfeit Bride is AntiChurch

Evil takes. Love gives. Repent from sin, resist Babylon and the Counterfeit Bride, and warn others of Babylon's fall with the Gospel.

Last week: the seventh bowl, and a voice from the throne saying "It is done." This Sunday, an angel takes John by the hand and says, come, I will show you.

What John sees is a woman. She is beautiful. Purple and scarlet, gold and jewels and pearls, and a cup of gold raised in her hand.

John has watched a dragon. He has watched the sky roll back. This is the thing that makes him marvel, and the angel has to stop and explain to him what he is really looking at.

Yesterday Pastor Patrick preached "It Is Finished, It Is Done" from Revelation 16, week 29 of our journey through Revelation. The seven bowls are poured out, and a voice from the throne says "It is done." As he reminded us: God gives us time, but not forever. Here is what is ahead at Ontario Community Church:

It Is Finished, It Is Done, from Revelation 16, plus what's ahead at OCC.

Good morning, church. This week Pastor Patrick continues Thy Will Be Done with "It Is Finished, It Is Done," from Revelation 16:1-21. When we look at Revelation 16, it is important to see the division of the seven bowls of judgement. In God's grace and mercy, until it is declared "It is done," there is still time for repentance, a change of mind, to come to the Lord.

This morning we will see:
• Judgement of the wicked; deliverance of the redeemed
• Only God knows the hour of the return
• "It is finished, It is done."

God gives us time, but not forever. Consider who you belong to: you either have the mark of the beast or the seal of God. Come to Christ before it is too late.

Even in the middle of judgment, there is hope.

Seven bowls are poured out in Revelation 16. On the sixth, there is still time. God gives us time, but not forever.

Right in the middle of it, Jesus says one thing to us. "I am coming like a thief."

Before the words "it is done" are spoken, there is still time. What matters is who you belong to.

Come to Christ before it is too late.
