You are invited to explore with us one of our most vital Ministries here at St. Paul. The Ministry of Stewardship.
Over the coming weeks we will be posting video conversations with Pastor Charles relating to a recent four part sermon series centered around Stewardship.
The concept begins with God gifting creation to us, not to be masters of it, but to care for and nurture it. That extrapolates out to understanding that everyting we have belongs to God. That’s when it becomes possible to see ourselves as Stewards - caretakers. From there we have a different perspective on how we relate to time, talent, and treasure.
The ELCA created a beautiful program called “Stewards of God’s Love”.
The imagery is fantastic. Imagine the cross ✝. God approaches US from the top of the cross down to the base where we are.⬇️ ✝ We learn that we are blessed by all the God has given us to have and care for. Therefore, in RELATIONSHIP we are raised up to be in Christ - we are lifted up from the bottom of the cross ⬆️✝, and together we reach out to care for and love our community and the world - the arms of the cross⬅️ ✝➡️.
