St Mary of the Falls LIFE TEEN & EDGE

SMOF Life Teen YM is a movement leading High School teens closer to Christ through the Sacraments of the Church as well as serving our Catholic Parish

No one is too young to be invited into a life-giving and dynamic relationship with Christ in the communion of his Church! No one is too young to be loved! And no one is too young to love! This Facebook Group will keep you informed of all the upcoming events for SMOF LIFE TEEN and other great stuff you need to know about! SMOF Life Teen is a movement leading High School teens closer to Christ through the Sacraments of the Church as well as serving the parish of St. Mary of the Falls. We place our source and summit in the Eucharist by beginning our weekly Life Nights with the 6pm Sunday Mass. Life Nights run on a 4 year, USCCB-approved, curriculum taught by our Core Members (trained adult relational ministers), and sometimes guest speakers and clergy members. The 4 year/ 8 semester curriculum with topics: Paschal Mystery, Person of Christ, Scripture, Vocations, Morality, Social Justice, Church, and Sacraments. Each Life Night has social, spiritual, catechetical/ Church education, and current life issue components. We provide 2 annual weekend retreats, weekly Scripture Study of the coming Sunday's Mass readings called Dead Evangelists' Society, Service/ Out reach experiences, social outings, and prayer experiences. Last Camp Rise recap!

Today we’re looking back to Thursday and Friday of Camp Rise. Thursday was our service day where we made blankets for the homeless, had a talent show, and ended the day with a foam party and Slip N Slide. Friday was our field trip to Cedar Point!

Happy Feast Day SMOF!!

Today we’re highlighting our new Marian Grotto built by our very own, Jack Klinect. This space is going to be a place where our parish (and all those that drive by) can be welcomed into Mary’s motherly embrace with Jesus Christ, her Son.

Come join us this Sunday, August 16 as we celebrate our parish’s feast day (the Assumption of Mary!) with a 5pm Mass, celebration, and dedication of our new Marian Grotto. All ages are invited, and we hope to see you there!!

We’re still reminiscing on our awesome summer!

Today we’re throwing it back to Tuesday and Wednesday of Camp Rise!

Tuesday’s theme was “Rescue Mission” where we played laser tag, competed in Slip N Slide Kickball, and heard a message about how Jesus rescued us in His death and Resurrection.

Wednesday’s theme was “Food for the Journey” where we played Hungry Hungry Hippos, encountered Jesus in the Eucharist, and ended with an inflatable party.

We’ll finish our summer recap of Camp Rise next week!
