BLESSING BOX PSA
We greatly appreciate your donations to our Blessing Box ministry.
The following items are great donations:
• Dry rice and beans
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Canned soups/meats
• Cereal, oatmeal, and other shelf stable breakfast foods
• Hygiene products (soaps, toilet paper, toothbrushes, etc.)
• Baking kits (corn bread, cake mix, etc.)
• Staple pantry items (flour, sugar, peanut butter, dry milk, pasta and sauce, etc.)
However, to ensure the continual upkeep of the Blessing Box and the quality of what it is stocked with, we do ask that you refrain from donating certain items.
Our blessing box is exposed to the elements, and items that are sensitive to temperature changes, high heat, and extreme cold are more likely to spoil.
Therefore we ask that you DO NOT donate:
• ANYTHING that needs to be refrigerated
• Fresh produce (including potatoes, onion, squash and any other often considered “shelf- stable” produce)
• Expired products
Our goal for the Blessing Box is to provide resources to our community, but we cannot do that if the box is filled with rotting produce.
