One of the biggest reminders from this week’s message: The Scriptures Matter.

God has revealed Himself through His Word, and if we want to know Him deeply, we have to be people who study the Bible—not just read it occasionally, but truly engage with it.

The good news is that you don’t have to figure it out alone. Here are a few great tools and resources to help you begin studying God’s Word more effectively:

Don’t be intimidated by studying Scripture. Start small. Stay consistent. Ask questions. The more time we spend in God’s Word, the more we are transformed by it. 🙏

What do Legos & a seed spreader have to do with the Gospel of Mark?

It might seem like an unusual combination, but this illustration from our recent sermon series on the Gospel of Mark at Simple Church perfectly captures the heart of Jesus’ message in Mark 4:1-20.

This passage contains the well-known Parable of the Sower. Pastor Frank Valenzano used this playful analogy of a seed spreader and scattered Legos to help us visually understand how the Word of God should be spread.

Online Only Again This Sunday ❄️

We’ll be gathering online only.

While main roads are mostly clear, there is still a lot of ice on side roads—and with below-freezing temperatures this weekend, that ice will refreeze. For the safety of our church family, we’ve made the decision to remain online.

Church isn’t canceled—just scattered. A link to the sermon will be sent through Church Center and via text message so you can worship from home.

We’re already looking forward to the day we regather in the same room. Until then, we’re grateful to stay connected, even when we’re apart. Stay warm, stay safe, Simple Church. 💙

We kicked off a brand new series this Sunday in the Gospel of Mark.

Mark doesn’t ease into the story — he begins with a declaration:
Jesus is the Messiah. The Son of God.

In a world full of opinions about who Jesus is, Mark invites us to encounter Him for ourselves — not just as a good teacher or moral example, but as the King who came to serve, save, and call us to follow.

As we walk through this Gospel together, our prayer is simple:
that you would see Jesus clearly, know Him personally, and respond to His call.
