In Loving Memory of
Terissa “Theresa” Ray Edmondson
July 9, 1957 – June 15, 2026

Terissa Ray Edmondson, affectionately known and loved by family and friends as “Theresa,” entered eternal rest on June 15, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born on July 9, 1957, in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Martha Ann Edmondson.

Theresa was a woman of strength, grace, and determination. She received her high school diploma and carried throughout her life a deep love for her family. Her caring spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to those she loved made a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know her.

Above all, Theresa loved the Lord and trusted God throughout the seasons of her life. Her faith was a source of strength, comfort, and resilience, guiding her through both joys and challenges. She believed in the power of prayer and found peace in God’s promises, knowing that He loved her deeply. Her steadfast faith was reflected in the love, wisdom, and encouragement she shared with everyone around her.

Family was the center of Theresa’s life. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Her love, wisdom, and encouragement will continue to guide them for generations to come.

Theresa was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Ann Edmondson, and her brothers, Charles Edmondson and Lawrence “Larry” Edmondson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children: Rashaan Edmondson (Bettina) of Layton, Utah, Natashia Ector of Boston, Massachusetts, and Nathaniel Ector of Boston, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Barbara “Bobbi” Teamer, Elmer “Ronnie” Edmondson, and Ella “Denise” Green.

Theresa’s legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Jaylen Edmondson, Tyauna Edmondson, Amaris Edmondson, Ezekiel Edmondson, Mackenzie Ector, and Quincy Ector, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that Theresa’s love, faith, and legacy will remain with us always. We find comfort in knowing that she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior and now rests in eternal peace. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

The service celebrating and remembering her life and enduring legacy will be at 12:00PM on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service, 1276 U.S. Highway 258 North, Kinston, NC.

Burial will follow in the Fordham-Grady Cemetery.

A public viewing will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 4:00PM-6:00PM at Trinity Funeral Service and will resume one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
