Sacred Heart Parish of Oelwein We dedicate ourselves to perpetuate our Catholic faith by building the foundation of our church for the next generation.

Sacred Heart is a parish of (about 800 households) from several towns (Oelwein, Hazleton, Stanely, Aurora, Maynard, Westgate, Arlington and others).

TODAY IS THE WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE SANCTIFICATION OF PRIESTS

Today, on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Church invites us to pause and pray in a special way for the sanctification of priests.

Priests preach the Gospel, celebrate the Holy Mass, hear confessions, visit the sick, guide families, and quietly carry many spiritual and personal burdens.

Behind every visible ministry is a human heart that also needs grace, strength, wisdom, and prayers.

Today, let us remember all priests:
those who are joyful,
those who are tired,
those carrying hidden crosses,
those serving faithfully in silence,
and those in need of encouragement and renewal.

PRAYER FOR PRIESTS
Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest, sanctify Your priests. Strengthen them in holiness, protect them in trials, renew their hearts with zeal, and help them remain faithful witnesses of Your love. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, keep them close to Your Sacred Heart.

Amen.
