As the town expanded, access to clean water became a priority. In 1883, a new well was drilled near Fletcher Lake, eventually producing a supply that helped meet the needs of a growing community. Community hand pumps also provided drinking and cooking water for residents and visitors who did not have their own wells.

Ocean Grove's story is also tied to the sea. By the late 19th century, ocean bathing had become a favorite activity, with visitors splashing through the waves and enjoying the laughter and fellowship that defined summers by the shore.

Ocean Grove is still a place where community and summertime traditions bring people together.
