💙 Wear & Give Bracelet Event 💙

Our parish community recently came together to make beautiful Miraculous Medal bracelets as part of the Wear & Give ministry. The idea is simple: wear your bracelet as a reminder of Mary’s love and intercession, then give it away when the Holy Spirit prompts you to someone who may need a little extra encouragement, prayer, or a reminder that they are loved.

Each bracelet becomes a small opportunity to share our faith and spread Mary’s love, one bracelet at a time. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this beautiful ministry possible! 🙏

First Friday Benediction at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque ❤️‍🔥✝️

During Benediction, the Blessed Sacrament is incensed as a sign of honor, reverence, and our prayers rising to God. The vessel being swung is called a thurible, and the fragrant incense reminds us of the prayers of the faithful rising before the Lord.

The red vestments worn for Benediction are a beautiful reminder of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, His sacrificial love, and the fire of His love for us. The white garment, or alb, underneath represents purity and the new life we receive in Christ.

The white shawl-like vestment is a humeral veil, worn by the priest when he holds and blesses the congregation with the Blessed Sacrament. It covers his hands as a sign that, during Benediction, it is Christ Himself in the Eucharist who is blessing His people.

What a beautiful way to begin the First Friday, gathered in prayer before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. ❤️‍🔥
